Hello everyone!

I just wanted to bring up my issue here and ask all you lovely members if my tumble leather mini mini bucket looks off?

I got the peony color which looks a lot darker in real life. That is not the issue though.

What I noticed immediately out of the box was a huge indentation in the left corner of the bag. When I place my finger in there and let go it pops back out immediately. I thought maybe if I tried putting my stuff in it, it would look better. There is a slight improvement when I put my cosmetic pouch, small wallet and iphone in there but I can still see the dent!

I emailed MG customer service about my concern and they basically replied they would not accept a refund or exchange because it is the nature of unstructured tumbled leather.

They also told me I should have asked them questions about color or any other issues prior to purchasing because of the final sale policy but I honestly don't know how that would have worked out with how chaotic the launch was. I was not anticipating I'd get a bag that would look like this!

I am pretty upset because for $435 I'd expect to get something a little better constructed?

I've attached two pics.. one with just the stuffing it came with and one with my own stuff standing up.

I am not a stickler for bags with a little scratches or dents, but this more than I can tolerate. Would you be upset with this? Thanks!

It's fine. Just stuff it with some tissue paper or t-shirts or whatever and it will get back into shape. Using it will also get rid of the indent.

Originally, a lot of the MG bags were being shipped without proper padding and stuffing. So, many people received their stiff, veg-tanned bags with dents in them. People complained and MG got smart and created their boxes. A lot of retailers also started to do a better job at packing them. But, as simple and lightweight as these bags are, I think they can be susceptible to denting during transit.

I don't think that would bother me either. The nature of the tumbled leather is that it's not as stiff and structured so it will indent and smoosh where ever it can. Once it's used regularly I don't think it will be as obvious.
Definitely doesn't look like damage or a fault IMO.

That is seriously a gorgeous bag! I Really want something in tumbled leather but I heard they have strong chemical odor.
I totally understand your concerns about the way it indents in, but hopefully it will balance out with the whole bag as it gets more use.

Yes, the odor is very strong... Smells like treated leather and you can smell it from far away unfortunately.
