Does how tall you are affect your heel height preference?

I'm 5'4" which is either short or average height depending on the crowd. I don't like heels and never wear them unless its a fancy occasion like a gala (and even then..), although over the past couple of years I've fallen in love with block heels around the 1"-1.5" range. It isn't about height so much as I like the fact that they lengthen the leg while still essentially being flats.

When I do wear heels I don't go higher than 4" and I don't wear platforms. Mostly I find it funny that they allow me to look more people in the eye.

I am 5 1" & i'm in the point of my life that quality, comfort & practicality but still elegant are my priority in buying shoes. I can't wear flats nor heels over 2.75" already proven they hurt my feet, since i tend to be walking long & far everytime i'm out & about. My favorite is block heels, at least 1"-2.75". That's what i usually look for when i shop for shoes.
