Hello loves,

Since the pandemic, I’ve been doing phone orders from my SA in Hawaii because I just love her. I was wondering though, does hermès offer and ship quota bags over phone orders? I don’t want to come off aggressive for an offer so I kinda don’t want to directly ask her. But she has asked for my wishlist at the beginning of the pandemic but I don’t know if she was referring to quota bag wish list or other items wish list so I gave both and was able to obtain some of them already. Would love to know if any of you had quota bags shipped from your SAs because I thought it was possible until I’ve heard from a YouTuber they don’t ship birkins and kelly’s.

Thanks!

XOXO,

This is one of those questions where the answer will be the classic Hermès answer: “it depends”…

It will basically be if the SM approves it or not, and I would not be surprised that it can be case by case, depending on things such as your profile strength and history or how their sales numbers are going or even other things. Even before the pandemic, some people can get exceptions and have quota bags shipped. And I’ve heard some say that currently first time offers have to be picked up in person but they are open to try ship subsequent ones, but then that can also change at any time.

My advice would be to feel free to ask your SA if it’s possible to wishlist for a bag and even ask if in the chance of an offer you need to be there in person. I don’t think you should be afraid of asking. I think where I will be careful is pushing *after* they say “I’m sorry we can’t ship it anymore and you will have to come in person” i.e. “but I heard / read that it’s possible from others!”. Like all things Hermès, when they say “no” there is often an unsaid “for you” at the end. And hey, they may not say no! You won’t know what it will be for you until you ask.

Just went to Madison Ave today and our SA mentioned that they’re being asked to have their customers come into the store more and ship only as an exception.

Hello,
wanted to know if you need to have a big purchase history at that particular store location for them to ship? I connected so well one SA from Hawaii but I didn’t happen to buy anything much. Thank you!

Hi! Pre-pandemic I’d go to hawaii once a year mostly, sometimes twice but very seldom. I’d also miss a year of not going sometimes but every time I’d go I’d shop with my SA and my purchases were fair and reasonable per visit. Not astronomical for sure but enough for her to have offered me some B/K/C. We didn’t have much of a relationship outside of hawaii aside from thank yous and holiday greetings. But during the beginning of the pandemic was when she reached out to me asking for my wishlist saying they ship everything except for perfumes and plates I think. Since I’ve always loved her I decided to do phone orders with her more than my home store at least for the time being.

It’s very different for each Hermès client so I don’t know if I was able to answer your question properly lol but if you have contact with the SA you mentioned you clicked with, I suggest reaching out and asking them directly. I’m sure they’d be thrilled to help you! I am not entirely sure but I have a feeling they still get the commission because the receipts I got looks as if I visited the store in person. Also, they literally only ship items in their store. If you want something they don’t have but is available on the H website, they can’t order it for you. Hope I was of help!

Thank you so much for your kind reply! I visited the first time to the store and honestly it was upon closing so yes just purchased a twilly however I requested non quota bags in the combo I wanted but he didn’t have them at the time and responded he is afraid he may not be able to ship to where I am but he will try which I felt hopeful. This was last month and I haven’t hear from him or stayed in touch since then but I did buy some bags ( non quota) at NYC location, not sure if all SA have access to purchase history but at least at NYC I spent quite a decent amount and not sure if this means Hawaii SA will feel comfortable shipping bags and other items..tricky I guess

HI will no longer ship any bags of any kind without extreme exception approval (read: VVIP).

My “home” store, which is located in another state since there is not one close to me will ship to me. I do get “cryptic” call which results in a FaceTime call but if it is over a certain amount (20k or exotic). They send it with a driver, which is a 500.00 usd charge. They have never refused to ship something to me.
