Does anyone know why Louis Vuitton was removed from Neiman Marcus stores? I learned Neiman Marcus is no longer selling LV. Will other department stores follow suit?

Nm had filed for bankruptcy and did a lot of reorganizing. I lost my ca and store I used to shop at.
LV pulled their booth from NM Palo Alto 10+ years ago. I was told LV wanted to focus sales through free standing boutique. About 5 years ago, LV pulled from NM San Francisco. The SF boutique is right across the street, so imagine it was the same reason.
Not just NM, but there is a trend of premium designers closing in luxury retail stores. Gucci pulled from NM in Palo Alto, is another example. I've heard rumor that Chanel was going to follow suit. Curious if this is a nationwide issue.
