Hi! My personal shopper is offering me these on “sale”. He has black, nude/pink and this blue.

(These photos are from the internet)

These have the straight band around the toe, not the scalloped edges. I don’t know the heel height but it seems higher than a mid-heel.

QUESTIONS to those who own it:

1. Are they comfy? The front part doesn’t have a platform so I’m worried they would hurt for long periods due to the heel height.

2. How is sizing compared to Gucci ace trainers, Gucci Princetowns with fur or Gucci peyton mules?

3. Would you say $460 is a good price? (£330)

4. Would you recommend?

Thanks!!!

EDIT TO ADD: I think this is from the outlet in Europe. I don’t know if that matters, or if Gucci makes outlet pieces. I’m just concerned that perhaps it’s less comfy than the store offerings. Maybe no padding on the sole?

I have a few shoes from that era (FG later years) and they were made in Sergio Rossi factories at that time, but I don't have these. I'm not sure all Gucci shoes now have padding under foot. Sergio Rossi was sold off by Kering (Gucci's parent company) which is why they no longer produce Gucci shoes. Shoes from that time were very good quality and these were not outlet only.

Basically these are classic sandals. for their height, I think they'd be quite comfortable for this height heel but only you know if you are a lover of this heel height and for how long you intend to wear them at one time.

If you're thinking about them it either means your tempted by the shoes or the price. My advice is not to buy anything for the price, only a desire for the actual shoes 'sweetened' by a little discount.

Thanks for replying!!

I’ve been eyeing these shoes for some time:

It has a scalloped band over the toes. I’ve been meaning to try it on but they’ve never had it in my size in our local boutique. (So I never really got to see if it they suit me, nor if I feel comfortable in them).

These “sale” pairs look similar. But I know they’re not because of the band and I think the heel is higher and less blockier. (I can’t confirm, all I have are photos.)

It’s so hard to buy a shoe sight unseen. Even harder if I can’t try them on. The price is tempting, yes, and it’s on a style I’ve been wanting to try.

Sigh. What to do?

I’m inclined to pass since I have no clue if these will work for me. Plus there are no returns with a personal shopper. :(

Such a shame. In a perfect world, all stocks would be available in every boutique of every brand! Hehe. Alas, it’s not.

I would order the Marmont sandal. They run true to size for me...in most Gucci I am a 39.5 with the exception of the Princetown mules I need a 40. Where I am located we have a few designer things in Nordstrom but pretty much everything I purchase is shipped in. Read reviews and you get to know which brand fits you in which size. Don’t be afraid to order on line, go for it!

I have those Liliane sandals with web pictured above (didn’t know they are named like that). They are comfortable to wear for their height. The band does rub a bit if I wear them for hours (I think this happens with almost every sandal though). Liliane sandals run true to size. I got them in size IT37 that is my usual size but I could have got them in IT36,5 as well.
(I wear Tory Burch shoes a lot in US sizes 6,5-7).
