My friend had it in mini. The color pink wore off (a portion at the back of the bag, near the bottom) turned white after a week of carrying it. She's careful with her bags so she might have gotten a "dud". Returned it and got a plain one.
With python bags the scales fleck and revel the white underneath. I've seen this several time on different python leather embossed bags at the Outlets, most recently a clutch and a really nice Borough. They are pretty though.
Well, it's still on hold. The extra 20% was gone today((((

IMO it depends on how often you would carry it. I have a few python bags, but since I change bags every day, and they aren't in the rotation quite as often, the more delicate leather doesn't bother me. If I was looking for a long term daily bag, I might not go for it, because worn spots really bother me on my bags.
I have one and have only carried it once for a couple hours so really cannot say how it wears. The scales seems sturdier than the Sophia Pythons. My issue with the bag is I think it is too small for me.
I have the regular sized Crosby Carryall in Python and like other posters, don't use it as a everyday bag, but only use it every now and then when the outfit calls for it. I haven't experienced any wear on it, but then I do tend to take good care of my bags and try not abuse them in any way.
I always receive compliments when I wear it, and it is one of my very favorites.
