Funnily enough I just bought a pair also (the white ones). They are comfortable out of the box - maybe a slight rub at top of toe box but overall very very walkable.I ended up buying a pair on sale and it took some time to break them in. I did the “wear indoors with wet socks” trick which is kinda gross but effective. Then I put some of that Dr Scholl’s adhesive padding in spots that were rubbing.
They are breaking View attachment 5818125in nicely now.
Definitely not more comfortable than Birks! During Covid I started wearing Birks a lot more, and the summer before I had picked up an all black leather pair when I was in Paris, so I told myself they looked fine. They did not.Funnily enough I just bought a pair also (the white ones). They are comfortable out of the box - maybe a slight rub at top of toe box but overall very very walkable.
16,000 steps is what 6.5 miles? I think that's doable in these but they are not more comfortable than Birks IMO. I bought mine to have a nicer option than Birks![]()
I’m usually a 36.5 but can wear a 37. Went a 37 for these, and this year they have worn in so nicely! How is the sizing for these sandals? I have slightly wide feet and wear 39 for Birkenstock, 38.5 for chypres. For most sneakers I am size 8.
Did you all size up for the Marni fussbett sandals?
Thank you for the size reference! 🙂I’m usually a 36.5 but can wear a 37. Went a 37 for these, and this year they have worn in so nicely!
gotcha, thank you! I didn’t realize there was a thin vs thick versions for the crisscross sandals.I have at least 6 pairs of Marni fussbett sandals as well as other shoes & boots by Marni, and I can attest that they are the most comfortable sandals I own.
I have a bad toe from years of running that needs surgery and the sandals provides enough support that I can wear them.
I absolutely LOVE their fussbett sandals and have been wearing them for years. They hold up.
Also, the crisscross ones with the thick straps (thinner ones are very comfortable) are not as comfortable as the ones that run horizontal.
For me, they run true to size.
Thank you for the size reference! 🙂

Are these the thick ones?

If these are not the thick ones, would you happen to have pictures? (If not, no worries! 🙂)
Thank you for sharing your pictures! Love your collection! The last two I haven’t come across when I was browsing. I can see that the thin straps look less stiff and more comfy! Here’s a few from my collection below.
The red/silver and navy/silver (many years ago) are the ones I’m referring to as this style is thinner and more comfortable than the thick crisscross ones.

That’s so good to hear. I’ve been trying to find shoes that hold up a long time. I’m convinced to make that purchase. Thank you 🙂I also like the slip on ones. They’re very easy and convenient to wear.
I would probably like to get more of them. I have one, but I didn’t photo it because it’s so beat up because it’s fabric on top! LOL
However, Marni fussbetts hold up so well even after many years - the soles, the leather, and shape.
I forgot to post, but I also own a wool one and jeweled one. They hold up really well too!
I highly recommend them!
