Does anyone have experience with Hanabi Rhinoplasty Clinic

That´s expensive and after care didn´t sound good. Are you satisfied with your result and do you worry about rib rhinoplasty warping? Do you still experiencing swelling?

It's not expensive compared to the United States, where I am located, or compared to any of the other top rib rhinoplasty surgeons in Korea/China.

Yes. I swelled terribly for about 10 days afterwards. I'm a little less swollen now.

I'm satisfied for now but we'll see how it looks in like, a year. I definitely do worry about warping/resorption, but each method has its own risk, so it';s one that I've had to accept.

Hi guys,
I replied to this theard 2 years ago and I got like 20 PM's from people asking for before and after pictures, sorry that I didnt reply I was just too lazy. I had surgery back in 2018 at hanabi. I had bulbous nose tip, hump reduction and Deviated Nose correction. I'm really happy with my results he did a great job, here are some pics. You can ask my anything if you have questions.

Hey! Thanks for sharing. Your results are beautiful(gorg eyes too:smile:). Who was your surgeon? Was this revision? Was it under sedation or GA? What material was used - rib cartilage or silicone? Thanks

I’m still not sure what I want in regards to a silicone implant or using rib cartilage howbeit, if the result you receive is undesired and you have to get a revision, apparently a silicone implant is easier to remove. Also after you’re fully healed, according to certain reviews, using rib cartilage makes your nose feel/look bumpy. Take this information with a grain of salt as this is just from my personal research.
Hey hun! It’s now 2020, so I think you’ve got your nose done by now  How did it go? Did u end up with Hanabi? Did u chose rib cartliage or silicone for the bridge augmentation? Do tell! Once travel regulations is lifted I’m thinking of going back to Korea and getting rhinoplasty.

Hi there, i am actually shortlisting the following clinics for rhino consultation: Opera with Dr Kwak, MVP with Dr Seo (very safe choice), Premier Clinic (very popular with the chinese), and Namu (expensive but have good results). I don't think i will have time to consult with Hanabi. Are you just consulting GNG? It seems quite expensive and many are heavily sponsored reviews on purseblog. But if you can get Valerie Pierce's nose, why not
Hi hun! How did your PS go? Who did u end up with ? How’re the results? Did u do rib cartliage or silicone?

Hi there. Hanabi is a very interesting rhino clinic . My issue is whether his operated noses are too natural that people don't notice change? I'm judging based on the before and afters. I need osteonomy and hump reduction for a straight and slimmer nose . Like Valerie pierce's nose from gng .

Nonetheless, I will go consult in June and share my experience. His prices are slightly higher at 4k compared to opera (but I'm not impressed with opera's noses) .
Hey hun did you ever get your nose done? How did it go?

Was told revision would be $8000 and alarplasty another $500 online. The consultant claimed it would actually be $9500, but they were giving me a "discount" to $9000.

Keep in mind, their price for revision was $6500 just last year. So they've jacked up the price a LOT, though they're still a good deal compared to VIP.

I wouldn't say they were unfriendly as they were indifferent. It was very take it or leave it.

Follow-up care was TERRIBLE (like, laughably terrible -- they promised oxygen therapy and LED therapy every day for four days, but I only received both on one single day, and oxygen therapy alone another two days, and then nothing on the fourth! They show you the room and then basically forget about you. No one speaks English other than one staff member, so if she's not there, you're SOL.) .

The doctor is talented for sure. I was worried his work would be too natural, as that is what is depicted on his website in my opinion, but he was capable of doing the aggressive changes I'd asked for.

*Also, I had rib rhinoplasty and it was NOT an easy recovery. I was in significant pain for two weeks (still am, actually, though the pain is lessening in severity). I don't know if people on this forum who have had rib rhinoplasties are just tougher than I am -- I don't think so; I have a pretty high tolerance for pain in general. But it was so bad that I couldn't turn in my sleep or cough or sneeze without being in excruciating pain.
How are you liking your results? I prefer rib cartliage for the bridge augmentation as well. Would love to know how your results is going .

I didn’t see any reviews for Hanabi so since I decided to have rhinoplasty there I’ll share my experience.

HANABI Revision Rhinoplasty

Congrats for making it through seven pages of commentary

Consultations -__-

I went to several doctors for consultations and this was during mandatory quarantine so I spent 2 weeks in a tiny hotel with only cold food before I could see or even be near another human.

gng was a big no go. I would stay as far away from there as possible

Item was very very nice and their female surgeon is especially skilled. I may go to her for fat grafting.

koko surgery was a bad experience. The doctor held me hostage for two hours trying to explain the surgery in broken English.

Mine clinic was very nice and very smart doctor, but not before and after weren’t what I wanted

mvp was not good in my experience. I liked them the very least.

Banobagi I wanted to visit but they were hard to reach and tried to change the promotional 50% off for foreigners saying it wouldn’t apply even though they promised before I was in Korea and then once I was in Korea they said no because I would need to do eye surgery and nose for it to apply. I told them I no longer felt I could trust them so I canceled my appt.

JW was another clinic that looked amazing for rhinoplasty (and also breast surgery) but they were booked out weeks in advance supposedly.

My experience at Hanabi
I went to Hanabi not thinking I would book my surgery that day, but just to get an opinion.
He was the first doctor that seemed confident he could help me and my breathing issues.
My nose tip was completely crooked and sideways, my nostrils were two sizes, my left nostril was retracted and I had a bump on my bridge and enlarged turbinates.. the list goes on.

During consultation he spoke literally perfect English and for $10 usd I had imaging done that took two mins to get and showed me exactly what was going on inside my nose. He showed his huge library of b/a and showed me all of the people he had fixed with similar concerns as mine.

Banobagi and item have a 40-50% off promotion for foreigners staying in Korea so I really wanted to go to them so I could save money, but after seeing the doctor at Hanabi I decided to spend whatever he asked for.

Ent vs plastic surgeon
I’ve had multiple rhinoplasties so my case was very complex and difficult and required an ent specialist because plastic surgery had ruined my nose functionality and not being able to breath is never a good feeling. Scale of 1-10, 10 being most difficult, mine was 8.5 because he had to build an entire new nose tip but once in the OR he said he decided not to do osteotomies. So I believe only the bottom half of my nose was the issue.

price

I never asked pricing before my consult. After meeting the dr, they quoted me 10k and I’m like ughhhh please god no. Then she said we can give you discount of 500 so it will be 9500 AND if you allow us to use your photo it will be 9000 BUT there is tax of 10% so 9,900 or 11 million won.

I decided on surgery to add under eye bag surgery so it ended up being 13 million won with a 1 million won vat refund. This included rib graft and ear skin graft and would have been $2000 usd less if I used donor rib instead. They gave me that option as well.

surgery experience

I was nervous before surgery not because i was unsure it would go well. I fully trusted the doctor but I was nervous about pain after surgery. I was scared especially if the rib graft area. My surgeries in US always were so so painful and the anesthesia was general so breathing tube made my throat hurt for 3/4 days could barely speak etc. this sedation anesthesia was like heaven compared to breathing tubes. Also I woke up in zero pain in a comfortable heated bed, they fed me soup, I went home and I was super happy with the entire experience. The doctor took time to go over the surgery plan before surgery and told me the details of how surgery went as soon as I woke up. A lot of doctors do not do this and I was so thankful and felt so safe knowing we were all on the same page.

Surgery results

My packing came out today and I can breathe 100% on the left side, but the right side is very swollen and constricted. Hopefully it will go away and the nostril will get wider.
He definitely fixed my contracted nostril flare, he straightened my nose and he made my nostrils even so my nose looks so much better even with the cast still on. Hopefully I will like it when the cast comes off.

Recovery

The “recovery” room at Hanabi was extremely comfortable and I woke up not remembering anything but feeling in great spirits, maybe the drugs did that. My english consultant went to the pharmacy for me and sent me he with ice pack, directions creams, juices, etc. everything I needed basically.
The pain meds wore off around 18 hrs later. I brought a couple pain meds so I took them, but not for pain. I had zero pain, only discomfort.
The rib graft had zero pain, unless I tried to sit up. It was 3 out of 10 trying to sit up.
the only issue for the first 48 hrs was nose discomfort because of the pressure. I also had turbinate surgery so my nose felt like it was blowing up inside a tiny box and the pressure was pretty annoying but not painful. I took half of a sleep aid for nights 1 and 2. Day 2 after surgery packing was removed and pressure feeling is now completely gone. Only thing I could complain about is sometimes around my nose and cast it feels itchy, probably because it’s healing.

I had red light therapy and oxygen chamber beginning the day packing was removed -day 2 after surg. - and I am told to continue every day until my cast comes off.
I felt a huge difference coming out of the oxygen chamber.

Sorry for the typos.
Hope this has been helpful!

What a relief. I also had several botched rhinos and was looking for a clinic for my revision and really liked the online consultation with Hanabi and Cocoline. The surgeons at both clinics took time to explain to me what had gone wrong with my previous surgeries and how they would repair the damage done.
May I ask who the female surgeon @Item was?
Schocked that JW is fully booked; they have a history of botched surgeries and their prices:no: - no thank you mam.
You dodged a bullett with Choi @mvp, he is terrible at revisions.
BTW did Hanabi make accomodation arrangements for you?

When I left quarantine I had scheduled my own hotel because I had hotel member points I wanted to use. I was supposed to see hanabi first before any doctors but when I finally reached the hotel, I was so exhausted so I fell asleep and missed my appointment, but I am glad it worked out the way it did. I needed a few days to adjust and mentally clear my mind from being in a 200sq ft box for 14 days straight. The quarantine was by far 100x more painful than this revision rhinoplasty. I think some people get lucky and have nicer, newer and less strict govt quarantine hotels, but that wasn’t my experience.

The location felt more like a prison than a quarantine hotel. Everything from the beds to the food was cheap, food always came cold and they turned off the air con and heat for the rooms and then plastered wallpaper over the windows with a sign that said $100 fine for *opening a window*. Would not recommend 14 day quarantine to say the least. If my breathing problems had not been so intense I definitely would have waited. It’s really unfair that everyone pays the same price for quarantine, but it’s completely random what kind of hotel you’re forced to stay at.

But the results of my surgery are still kind of hidden under my case which won’t come off for another 4 days, but I’m pretty confident he did a great job. My nose already feels more comfortable, no poking or heavy feeling grafts etc, and it looks really balanced on my face even with the swelling and cast so crossing my fingers it ends up how I’d hoped!

Thanks for this info. Keeping my fingers crossed that the quarantine is over next year. Happy to hear you like your results so far, I'm also hoping this will be my last rhino.
