Does anyone has authentic Van Cleef 10 motif necklace who can check with a magnet if their necklace clasp is magnetising or not? Thanks

Guys, I really need your help! New here.
I bought VCA 10 motifs malachite necklace and 3 motifs malachite earrings from the seller in Tucson , she has a lot of Van Cleef items on eBay and good rating , she seemed very knowledgeable and communicative . I took necklace to add 4 links , paid 180$ , just wanted to make sure it’s authentic as I heard not authentic will not be serviced . It’s been a month since I got it back. Today I put a magnet next to the necklace and clasp get magnetised , I know that solid 10-24 k gold will not magnetise, do you know if Van Cleef makes clasp not from gold? Do you have a similar piece , can you check with a magnet?
I contacted (SA) who helped me with a repair , he did not have a clear answer , just was saying that all they added were authentic pieces … I asked the woman who sold both pieces to me, she does not know either . Please help I am worrying it’s not authentic now…
Also I took 3 motif van Cleef malachite earrings to the VCA store and representative checked the serial number , she said it’s matching the piece. Do you recommend taking the earrings for cleaning and pay 180$ or is there any other ways to confirm both pieces are authentic ? Attaching pics of earrings and necklace Thanks

Did you have the serial # on the necklace checked as well? Last year I purchased the same necklace from a reseller and it turned out to be fake. My SA ran the serial # and it was not a match. Thankfully, I was protected and received my money back. I have sworn off resellers as the fakes are TOO good these days. Best of luck!!

Hi! To help out, I won't talk about authenticity here as it is not allowed.

To answer you question, I happened to have a magnet here, and I have tested a few of my WG pieces, and none are magnetized.
I purchased all my pieces from a VCA boutique. As you said, 18K gold should not magnetize.

The only way to know for sure if it's authentic in the eyes of VCA is to send it in. The cost I think is around $1800; you can ask VCA.
VCA SAs are not authenticators; they are just sales people.

If you are concerned, I would return. There are tons of super fakes with real serial numbers, etc.
It would be terrible down the road if you ever need it serviced again to find out at that time it's fake.
I am not saying your pieces are fake, but personally, I would not take the risk. The price of a new piece is not a huge difference, especially for these general stock items.

I agree with @Buddysmom to get it from a VCA boutique.
