I just bought this bag from Zappos. I wanted a large satchel style bag that could also be worn crossbody for days when I really needed a lot of space and pockets--like when traveling. I also wanted it to be a color that was neutral but more exciting than a basic black or tan and something that would go with a lot of colors--again helpful for traveling when I just bring one bag. So, the Jennings in python fits the bill pretty well but I was just wondering about the leather and the wear. I know normal MK leather wears very well (I have a regular leather MK purse in yellow) but wasn't sure about the faux python. It seems rough and didn't know if it might fray especially around the handles. Does anybody have longer term experience with this leather and can offer an opinion while I debate keeping this bag or not? TIA!

I just got the Michael Kors Lily python tote about 2 weeks ago. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag and have not switched out of it since my DH gave it to me. I would also love to know how the embossed python wears and if there is something I should put on it to protect it! Congrats on your bag....it's GORGEOUS!!!!

bump to see if someone can help us! Just got my Michael Kors python matching wallet to my python purse today.....feels sooooo nice and I cant stop stroking it!!!! LOLOL I LOVE the feel of this embossed python!!! Have you used your bag yet?

I am curious as well, was the bag a keeper? I have looked at the black one online, but I wasn't sure about the size compared to the smaller jennings.

I thought I read somewhere that some people had issues with the python/snakeskin rubbing and causing fraying on clothing? Does anyone else remember reading that here somewhere?

I hope not!!!! I have been using my python Lily tote since DH surprised me with it a few weeks ago and so far it's been wearing GREAT! No surface scratches that you would normally see from using a leather bag, the leather looks like its still brand new and never been used, and I take it to work with me daily and nothing has happened to any of my clothing either! I work in a very formal business office, and wear clothing of all materials, so I think IF something were going to happen I would have noticed it by now! There was a day where my office was SO cold and I needed to put on a fuzzy button down sweater that I keep in my closet, and I figured that would have an issue with this bag and thankfully it was FINE!!!! All in all I LOVE this python embossed leather and I get sooooooo many compliments on it! This bag is a true eye catcher!!!! and a bonus is it's a year round color to me!!!!
