Hi all,

I really like the Poppy gunmetal silver swingpack bag and am thinking of picking one up on ebay since I don't have the time to go to the outlets to find one, (and they probably are all long gone anyway....)

Do those who have Coach metallic purses wear them for everyday use? How does the metallic hold up? I really like the look of this bag and thought it would be a good, funky edition to my quickly growing Coach collection. ;)

For those who have this bag, how big is it? I have a small laptop (macbook air 11 inch) and I either carry that or an ipad with me. Can I do that with this bag?

It seems to be hit or miss with the metallics. I only have one metallic leather bag, a copper Zoe - a recent lucky find. A lot of tpfers have reported problems with this bag but so far I haven't had any negative issues and I used her everyday for over a month and occasionally since then.

I love the look of some of the metallics but I don't usually buy them because I worry about the condition problems that might develop, or I'm afraid I will tire of them easily (or I worry that they will look "too young" for me!)

My feeling is that if it is a bag that you love and you can get it from a reputable vendor at a good price, then you should go for it. But first listen to the advice of Coachies that have this specific bag before making a decision. Good luck!

I bought the pocket hobo in gunmetal at the outlet last week and no problems so far! I have been using it everyday and love it- I also use a silver chain as an extender when I wear it crossbody.

I used my Hampton's Metallic bag for a few weeks, no problems. I do have a Poppy Glam Tote in the Sparkle Leather, that I do have to say I baby when I use it.

I carried my anthracite Claire several days a week for over a month, with no problems. I did not baby this bag at all. TMK the anthracite is very similar to the steel and copper in terms of durability and texture. Others who own steel Madisons (Sabrina, Julianne) have reported that these particular metallics are quite durable.

Unfortunately, I don't have experience with the Poppy gunmetal leather in regards to durability. It's very pretty, though!

Same here - no issues with my metallics and I have them in reglular rotation. I don't give them any special treatment at all and have had no issues at all.

I have two metallic bags...a Kristen and a Zoe....and have used both as everyday bags and haven't experienced any problems with them....
What I like about them is that the metallics allow them to "go" with anything and everything!

I love that gunmetal metallic, and the outside pockets on the bag look so good. I really like the style.

For anyone who may own this bag, the style number is 14561. I would love some feedback on how heavy it is, how big it is, etc. I am going to be buying off of ebay, so I can't see it in person.

I have a madison metallic hippie and only use her for special occasions and if im wearing light clothes for the occasion. It still looks perfect but i have seen someone with the same bag and it looked worn in places. I am very careful with my bags though.
