Do you think the LD is an everyday bag?

Is the LD every day?

I am trying to get a new every day bag and love the LD look, but is it able to be used as an everyday bag? I WFH so "every day" is more relative. If not, is there another Dior you'd recommend? Heading to Paris tomorrow!!

I sometimes carry a men’s ergonomic saddle with a seatbelt strap as an everyday travel bag
(No hardware, adjustable crossbody strap) I rarely wear a LD. But, I tend to wear
Dior RTW more than bags.

It depends on what you prioritise in your everyday bag! I have a medium Lady Dior, the older style with the zip, and while the zip is finicky and does mean I have to dig around sightlessly for items, the size and the aesthetic of the bag could make it an everyday bag for some. Because I have other alternatives for an everyday though - I have a black Margaux 12 that I prefer since it’s open, and it’s much easier to reach for and put in items - I don’t use mine daily.

I love my medium LD, but no, I do not find it suitable for regular/daily use.
While the bag is beautiful, and can hold a good amount, a few issues I’ve noticed are :
- its north-south shape means that items are often stacked on top of one another, which can get annoying when taking things in and out of the bag
- bag is heavy when full
- when worn as a crossbody, the handles are extremely annoying
- the lambskin is on the more delicate side

As far as other Dior bags go, I have a medium Caro, which I’ve been using a lot this summer. It’s a tad small for me (it just barely fits my wallet, makeup bag, AirPods, gum, and some tissues + phone in the exterior pocket), but it’s much more practical (for me, at least!) than my LD.

Another cute everyday bag is the medium Bobby.
All of the aforementioned bags can be worn crossbody, which for me, is a non-negotiable, but not sure if that’s an attribute you’re looking for.

Have the best time in Paris, and happy shopping!

I have a small LD and consider it an everyday handbag. Most of my handbags are on the small to mini size and only carry essentials such as phone, cards, lipstick and keys. With my LD I can carry a small water bottle which most of my mini handbags don’t allow.

I think any bag can be an "every day" handbag depending on your personal preference and style. Not sure you're checking in here while traveling but it would help if youb shared what features are important to you in an "everyday" bag.

I work from home too and sometimes don't leave my house for days but when I do, I tend to mix up the bag in carrying from wallet on chain to extra large totes. All depends. Meanwhile I was just visiting a friend who mentioned she's used the same handbag nearly every day for offer a year. So I'm curious what others consider every day. Enjoy Paris and happy shopping!

I have 3 medium lady Dior bags that I do use as everyday bags. But I have a lot of bags in my rotation & usually switch bags in inclement weather.

When I use my black LD (old style zip top), I place the strap on the bottom (inside the bag) & stack a makeup bag on top. This I use as a purse organizer. It makes everything easy to reach. If I need extra space (water bottle) or want to be hands free, I can take out the strap.

The LD is a fussy bag. I don’t mind bc I do love the style. But I have other, easier styles in my collection as well. I probably won’t add another LD. But if I could go back in time, I would have checked out the grained calfskin styles as well. (And maybe the djoy style).

I also love the Miss Dior mini. (Or is it my Dior). It’s a tiny woc/clutch bag (other end of spectrum in terms of size). But I love it & wear it all the time as well.
