Do you think Ivory can be worn year-round?

Hello,

I am new to the Bal forum (came over from RM) and about to make my very first Bal purchase. I think I have narrowed my choices down to 2 colors: Ink and Ivory. I know these are very different colors...but I am trying to pick a color that I can wear year-round and that will go with most of my wardrobe. (I really want my Bal to be my "go-to" bag).

I wear a lot of browns, blacks, grays and tans...And I LIVE in jeans.

I am leaning towards Ivory (in a twiggy) over Ink (in a Box), but I don't know if I am being swayed by the fact that it is summer in NY and a white bag would be so perfect for right now.

So for those of you with Ivory Bals, do you wear them year round? Do you still want to reach for your Ivory bag when it is November? or February?

Thank you!!!

I love Ivory in the winter. Yes, you can wear it year round. But between the two colors, I'd go for Ink. Ivory gets too dirty, especially the handles, then it just looks too icky if you're not careful. Ink goes beautifully with jeans.

Hey Hollyberry! I think Ivory can be all year round, but just make sure you spray LMB's lovin my handles to protect from darkening. Ink would be less high maintenance...

My honest opinion is no. Ivory would be hard to keep clean and I would rather go for a color that will not pick up dirt. Between the two I would choose the Ink. Or wait for another color to come along.

I wear my white bal in the winter... but wary of wearing it with jeans though as this color is prone to color-transfer - esp. with dark denim.

eta: very prone

i would go with ink but of course ivory looks nice year round. ime, i'd get the bag all dirty and it would just look gross after awhile.

post pics when you get yours =)

Where u the one that won the GSH Ivory Work from ****** on Eb@y? GREAT bag!
I think Ivory can be worn all year but like a lot of the ladies mentioned, you do have to be very color but it's such a classic color.
