IMO, it never goes out of style. I have many bandeaus too and love adding one to a bag for a pop of color and fun. I think it dresses up nicely a plain brown monogram/DE bags and adds a bit of personality to your bag in a sea of handbags out there. It really comes down to whether you like it or not. Hope you bring one out soon with a bandeau
Thanks for your opinion. I did take out my black Epi Alma PM and tied my multicolor Bandeau on it today to give it a try (after years of not using them). I have to try more Bandeau's on other LV's to see if I feel "fashionable". You do make a good point-about adding a pop of color and fun onto the LV handbag.
I think if you love the look, you should continue to use them. It’s not something I’ve ever seen very much of around where I live when I’ve seen LVs out in the wild, however I always thought it looked nice when I saw pictures here.
I am not sure I 'love" the look but I have so many Bandeau's "doing nothing". Here too-where I live I never see anyone wearing a Bandeau on a LV. I have, on occasion seen people wearing an Hermes bag with a small twilly. I almost feel it is my "duty" to use my Bandeaus. We shall see.
I rarely ever see them in the wild. I understand what you mean about the bandeaus “doing nothing” and it’s almost your duty to use them. For me, it’s more of an issue of having to iron them after using them. A bandeau provides some protection to a vachetta handle and some bags honestly look better with one IMO (like the empriente P Metis and epi Alma BB). If you are not loving it, then it may be time to let them go. Good luck deciding .
Sometimes I'll thread my LV bandeau through the rivet holes on my Noe GM in lieu of the drawstring. It looks really pretty when I tie it and it's so much more durable than the vachetta drawstring. But lately I've just been using the drawstring instead.
I do use a bandeau on maybe 4 or 5 my bags and I just keep them on there, I don’t switch them around, they have almost become part of the bag to me. I’m not really using any bag charms or stamped luggage tags though… those are def just sitting around. I think it’s all out of style to be honest but I’m still using them lol
You can also wrap one around a headband like you would your purse handle, or wear it as a choker. And things always seem to come back in style, so you can think, “I’m actually a trendsetter. I never went OUT of style….” 😁
