HE PROPOSED LAST NIGHT!!!!! 
The sweetest story ever. We went to a bday party for a friend of his and he was acting a little off. So I thought maybe he was tired and asked him. He said "maybe I am. Let's just head back to our neighborhood and grab drinks somewhere around there. Maybe the Albert?" So I said ok. We came home, dropped off the car and then started walking (our neighborhood is super walkable with lots of awesome stuff around).
Anyway we were starting to walk by the lake we both love and where we often take our dog. So then he stops and goes "sooo Jasmin we're not going to the Albert." And I say (still oblivious) "ok do you want to go someplace else?" So then he looks at me and gets on one knee. I thought I was going to die.
He said "Jasmin I thought long and hard about where I was going to do this. And this is our place; this lake we love, in the neighborhood we love. So this is perfect. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you. Will you marry me?" At this point I'm crying and excited and just can't believe it.
I of course said yes and we hit the bars to celebrate. We had an awesome bottle of champagne. I am literally on cloud 9.

So so happy. This feeling is indescribable.
Ok ring specs: 1.36 carat round brilliant, tolkowsky ideal cut, F color, SI2 clarity (incredibly eye clean), has 30 pave diamonds. Total carat weight of 1.8 or so with everything.
