Do you like where you live?

I love where I live because it's driving distance to major cities/areas (LA, OC, San Bernardino, Pasadena, etc). I think I live in the perfect suburban are of Southern CA, but of course, I'm biased. I do have a desire to move to the city, most likely Los Angeles, but that's something I would need to discuss with the bf.

Athens is beautiful in it's own way. There is no place that smells sweet as Athens during spring time. Jasmine shrubs and Evening Primrose on the Vassilisis Sofias Av on a May night... Heaven... The views from Lycabettus hill, or Tourkovounia, the stroll around Acropolis, the sea side....
you don't know what memories you bring back now...:crybaby:

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and part of me likes it and part of me dislikes it. I like the fact that almost my whole family lives here and I am always with them but there is not much to do here. My BF is about the graduate college and wants to be a college basketball coach so we are hoping he gets some graduate assistant job at a college down south or out west. I am trying to convince him to coach a team overseas and the idea is slowly growing on him so we will see how that works haha.

I have wanted to live in GB now about 4 years but when I moved to denmark last friday.. I kind of understood that maybe I just want to stay in finland and visit in GB once and awhile..
I'm feeling so homesick.. :crybaby:

I actually love where I live. I'm in southeastern Connecticut, and I think we get the best of everything here. We get snow in the winter, hot in the summer, and fall and spring are amazing with the trees changing and all. We have beaches, historic towns, two very famous casinos, and the nightlife isn't that bad.

I live in a smaller town with alot of farms, but it's not a far drive to the mall, good places to eat, ect. There's also affordable places to live (not everyone is rich here!! lol) and cities and smaller towns. It's great!!

oh that sounds amazing..
That reminded me - have anyone lived/visit in Dover, UK? That's the place I've been thinking if I ever move in to UK.

Nope.

Dh and I are planning to move (possibly California) in a few years. The weather here sucks, the people are weird, there's not a lot to do, we're in the middle of the prairies.. I could go on and on. We recently built our house here and we absolutely love it so we decided to give it no more than 5 years.

Abosolutpink! Just a few months ago my family and I flew into Calgary and stayed in Canmore- we loved it!! I was just thinking about how I enjoyed the City of Banff, the hiking, etc.

As for where I live, I do love it. I live 5 minutes from beautiful beaches- we get all four seasons- have a lot of good foods- countless casinos/clubs/nightlife for going out (albeight- you must be 21). Also, we have NYC just a couple hours away, and can be in Philadelphia in under an hour. :okay:

My hometown is Philly. I never thought I would live in the South. I particularly do not like South Carolina. In the early 90s, I seemed to have liked it better. I moved away for about 10 years and am back now taking classes from a school in Georgia. My county borders Georgia and I get in-state tuition in Georgia (this is the only good thing about where I live). Education costs suck. You would think they would be lower than NC or GA, but they are not.

I can say I really enjoyed living in Florida even though it is in the south also.

One of my pet peeves is when someone will say, "I love the people. They have made me feel welcomed." This is from newspaper articles of people moving here. There are other factors that are not taken into consideration and their experiences cannot be applied across the board to everyone.

I like the city where I live but I would like to live closer to the city centre (Liverpool) because I love everything about it, the culture, skyline and people are so friendly, the fashion is the best in the UK IMO, not forgetting the good shopping LOL. I live in England so Im close to Paris, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and most of europe so its easy and cheap-ish for me to travel.

Mid next year I will be moving for uni, probably down south (near London) as much as I want to move I will 100% miss being close to one of my fave cities because IMO I cant compare it to London.

The only thing Im missing out on is a beach and sunshine for most of the year LOL, so If I was to move, I would move to somewhere with a beach. I think my Ideal Place would be Marbella in Spain...but I can dream LOL

no. I'm not happy here. I rather live where shopping is better, has amusement parks, and a beach. It's boring here and nothing to do. It's okay if you're like, old and retired but not for me. I'm young and rather go somewhere thats alot of fun. It stinks here.

No. It´s the countryside, meaning lack of "culture" and shopping and cool places to hang out.
The weather is miserable : grey, rainy, windy and dark in the long winters.
