Do you know how to fix stretched ear piercings without surgury or fillers?

I am 30 but my ears were pierced when I was a baby. I wore hoops in the early 2000s and up until recently enjoyed a nice statement earring.

I noticed my piercing holes are stretched out looking and look like crap with dangly earrings. I am hoping I can fix my piercings and tighten them up by not wearing earrings for a while which is killing me because I just got a pair of diamond studs I want to wear everyday.

I attached pictures of my current lobe situation in case it helps. They aren't horrible yet but I dont want my piercings to get worse.

I looked at your pictures and your ear piercings don't look bad at all! If you don't wear your earrings for a month or so, they will definitely tighten up. To make sure your piercings don't get worse, don't wear heavy earrings for too long and take breaks from wearing earrings from time to time. I also read that you can rub jojoba oil on your lobes to help with the healing, too.

I empathize with you. These kinds of skin changes are hard to get used to, but I do think that's what it is - normal changes as our skin changes over the years. I had my ears pierced as a toddler and I did notice around age 30 or so the contours of my lobes changed a little. I don't think your piercing is necessarily bigger, but the opening in the skin may look more vertical than it used to. I am now jealous of people with nice thick earlobes because they have more of a fighting chance against lobe stretching.

I agree with the previous post suggesting that you take intermittent breaks from wearing earrings. I think you have many happy and healthy years of earring wearing ahead!

Try going without earrings for a while. The holes will most likely tighten up. I am quite a bit older than you and, if I don't wear earrings for a few weeks, my holes start to close up. Sometimes, I just pop in a pair of those starter studs that are for people who just had their ears pierced. The post on those are usually thicker and they keep the hole nice and round. If I forget for too long and the hole has gone small, I have to ease those starter studs in with a bit of olive oil, then twirl them daily till the holes open up again.

Hoops and dangles can be heavy and may stretch the hole if you don't have a fleshy lobe. Well, this is a good excuse to buy more earrings  - simple studs are good. Pearls are nice and light! You can also put plastic backers on the stud post to support the lobe till the hole closes up a little.
