Michael Kors Do you keep the straps on large shoulder bags?

I just purchased another large Doria satchel. It’s pretty big and I don’t anticipate ever using the strap, just the handle. The handle is long enough to put in the crook of my arm. Just wondering if it looks “unfinished” without the strap, or just in the way. What do you do?

if the strap won't go over my shoulder I keep the optional long strap on just in case I need to be hands-free. but if you don't ever want to use the long strap, I see no reason not to remove it
