Hi everyone,
I'm contemplating purchasing my second Chanel and after hearing about the price increases, I want to get it soon. I was eyeing the classic flap but I find the east/west bag a very cute bag too. I know this is a silly question but is the east/west bag too small for a woman who is 5'4" and a size 8? With bags that look like a pouchette, I find it is more flattering on petite women. I just want to make sure that the bag would be proportional to my figure. What do you all suggest?

I don't think so! I am 5"6" and I get lots of compliments on my east-west bag. None of the comments being "My, how big you look compared to your bag!:P (Thank goodness!!!)
I carry all sorts of sizes of bags from big totes to pouchettes. I think it is all in how you carry it! The EW is a great bag and like someone else mentioned before, you can also use it as clutch. You will definitely love it (plus the price can't be beat!)

You'll be ok. I've never been one to believe in the purse being proportionate to your body. If that were the case, these size zeros wouldn't be carrying around bags as large as them.

I think size is important. I'm tall, 5' 9" medium build. As much as I love the look of the east west flap, I feel it's too small for me, unless I used it as an evening bag, just my own personal preference. I do like a bag to be somewhat in porportion with my height/size, I feel it looks better.

At 5' 4" I think you'll be the perfect size for that bag!
