Hi ladies! I stumbled upon this bag for super cheap online and was wondering if anyone has it? Could you post a pic of it or mod shots?
There are really no pics of it online I believe it is the Madison op art ikat hippie
Also in your honest opinions is it cute? Or too old? (it's from 09)
I only have leather bags so this will be my only fabric siggy bag
do you think the fabric will hold up?
Thank you!

I don't have it, but I think it's really cute!! I don't think it's too old at all. I don't really pay attention to trends in handbags, I just carry what I love, whether it's my newest style, the Gramercy...which is timeless looking anyway, or my oldest purse...which is a 1996 Madison satchel-which I think ages well. ( I gave my very nearly vintage Praire bag to my daughter. The purse will be officially vintage next month! I may steal her back for a day or two. )
If it's in good shape and you love it, I think you should go for it. It would be good for times when you need a comfy, lightweight cross-body.

If you decide to buy it, I'd research to see if you could spray something on it to protect it from dirt. Since it is light colored, it could get dirty easily and be harder to clean than light colored leather-which is no fun either...lol.
I have a light colored Op Art Kristin satchel that is a you-know-what to clean, and I didn't know enough at the time to try to protect her, so she's not in the best shape.
Good luck!

Thank you! I think keep in mind about protecting it! I wonder if I can use apple spray on fabric? Or is that only for leather?

I think it's adorable. I have a fabric signature bag in a silver color with no protection at all and it still looks brand new. I haven't used it in a while but it was my main bag for quite a while until I graduated to the leather bags.

I've used Shining Monkey on bags, both fabric and leather. I think you could also use Scotchguard. If the surface has a rough feel, it will be more susceptible to color transfer. I have a white print Poppy with a textured surface that is a bear to keep clean. I spray it, carry it once, and then have to scrub off the color transfer and spray it again. At least the spray protects it so the color transfer isn't permanent.

I have the leather Parker hippie that is similar to this but my daughter has had it since I got it. I bought the Ashley version at the outlet but returned it because the opening was too small. I think this Madison is much bigger than either of those.

I was also going to suggest Scotch guard. I think the style of it is cute and the colouring very neutral on the whole.

With the fabric ones the key imo is it not being the only bag, then the wear and dirt doesn't get to excessive.
