Hello!

Fall is around the corner and oxfords / brogues are in fashion again (did they ever went out?)

i live in a tropical country so it's usually sandals for me.

I am going on a trip to Japan come October and will be walking all day for sightseeing for 10 days.

I also want to look a bit fashionable as i refuse to wear trainers no matter how comfy people say they are.

Can you recommend your favorite/s?

Thanks very much!!!

My favourite brogues are my Gaziano and Girlings - but I had to wait 5 months to have them made!!!

The best off the peg classic ones are Chuch's unless you want something more feminine - try Selfridges shoes as they have a terrific range of brands!!!

Bertie or Hobbs are nice too

thank you! i'll research on those brands. thanks so much!

Gucci Cambrige http://www.gucci.com/uk/search?query=Cambridge+

They are cut to flatter and make the feet look more elegant than most brogues and lace-ups. They don't rub on the back like some others I had and the leather moulds to your feet. Gucci will re-heel and re-sole.

Church's shoes for women are also good (also usually available from N a P). Not such an elegant shape but still quality and and durable. Also good aftercare. http://www.church-footwear.com/en/UK/limited-edition#!/en/UK/woman

Than you Papertiger!

Louis Vuitton - Oxford Loafers. I don't own this particular style but I have 2 pairs of LV ballet flats which are super comfy and have worn really well.

Also Barker Shoes and as previously said Church's. My Dad owns shoes from both makes and recommends them highly.

Thank you LovePink!

I'm also looking into brogues/oxfords this fall since I'm traveling to Asia. Right now I'm looking into this brand called Anniel:

Some of their styles are more casual and feminine. I love their glitter brogues.

Thank you Alice! I hope they have it in HK.

I actually did a blog post on this very subject and posted my favorites. You should check it out but to summarize I love a good classic oxford. Have you heard of the brand Bass? They have been creating oxfords for a long time (I remember getting a pair every year in grade school). I would check them out for a classic. Hope this helps . Enjoy your trip.
