I do! I got this Madison Zebra Print North South Tote 26633 LI BMC (MSRP = $298) at the outlet last year. I bought it mostly because it was only $99 but I wasn't sure that I would keep it.

I prefer leather to fabric bags and I am not crazy about animal print - although I thought that this one was rather attractive. I also don't like bags that "puddle" and this one looked like it might be a puddler!

But it surprised me and now it is one of my most used bags! It doesn't puddle, you just connect the 2 ends of a strap inside and it keeps its shape but has a nice slouch. It's very lightweight and holds a lot and it balances well on my shoulder.

It is great for travel and I don't have to worry about it if the weather turns wet. It's really a great bag and I am glad that I decided to take a chance.

Do you have a beloved bag that you were surprised to like?! Tell us about it and what makes you love it!

Actually, some might be surprised about this, but the Legacy Duffle. I wasn't so sure about it in person once I got it and seriously considered returning it. It was on the stiff side, and the color- tourmaline, is really really turquoise! But I am SO glad I didn't it is one of my most favorite bags, I absolutely love the color, and has it since softened with use.

I got a really great deal on the taxi tote at Dillard's NYD sale. I picked it up for $100. I kept the tags on it for about 2 weeks. I was contemplating taking it back. I'm glad I kept it. It holds quite a bit and is a nice sturdy bag.

I'm actually carrying my surprise love at the moment! My hubby surprised me with this little gem last year. I had moved on from carrying my siggy bags, and wasn't sure about this one when she appeared on my bed one evening after hubby got home from a weekend of racing. I've been carrying her the last couple of days, and can't bring myself to change out just yet. This is small Legacy Candace in black/gray siggy heritage stripe. I love the small C's and the sparkly stripes. :)

Phoebe. For the longest time I was actively opposed to this bag, particularly before the small version came out. It was way too big, I thought the compartments would be a hassle, and Coach wouldn't even let you use PCE on it! LOL.

But then the small one came out. And some new colors. And boy did I come around; now I have six! One of my most loved bags, ever.

I was really shocked by how much I love large black Dakotah. It's the opposite of everything I usually love- satchel handles, refined and slightly dressier details, structure with a little well-designed slouch. And I am NOT a flap-bag girl. Large Dakotah is straight-up boho (IMO) and slouchy, thick-leathery goodness, and it has FRINGE for heaven's sake, AND a flap with no zipper to speak of, and I LOVE it! It's fun to wear and extremely comfortable and more functional than I would have thought possible. Veeery happy with large Dakotah.

+1 Absolutely agree.

My Sullivan hobo! I read so much about that weird strap that I was hesitant about it. when I finally tried it, the strap didn't bother me at all. I really like the outside pocket and the double straps (one for shoulder, one for crossbody).

These are all great examples of why it can be so important to take a bag home and give it a little test run inside the house before you cut the tags. It could become a favorite bag or it might not work for you.

But now that the return policy is limited, I will probably take home fewer items and will have to make darn sure that I return any rejected bags quickly!

Mini studded Preston! I'm not a satchel or crossbody girl, I don't usually go for edgy, and I stay away from black bags. But it was so cute in real life that even though I could tell the salesperson was trying to direct me to something more age appropriate, I couldn't leave her behind. Then I thought I could always give her to my daughter if I decided I was too old for her, but when my daughter asked for her, I couldn't let her go! I think what I love are the contradictions. The studs don't make her tough or edgy because she is so small; they just add to her cuteness. She reminds me of a cute tiny dog that growls but everyone just says "aww!" instead of being scared.

I am usually a slouchy, minimal structure, slightly boho bag type of girl. (Kristin Sages were my jam!) Then enter the Swagger, and something changed! I loved the satchel shape, their pretty hardware details, and how the leather still gets a bit slouchy, but maintains their shape. Four of them later, I am completely in love with them, and I am questioning how I ever used my previous bags! I'm really loving how organized they are making me, and so many complimentary comments are coming my way - I feel like people can actually notice and appreciate how pretty they are because of their structure!

Bleecker daily bags. They look so flat and square when laying flat. So uninteresting! Lol. Now I have three. They hang beautifully and take shape with a couple items inside. So comfy to carry. I looked forward to spring to carry them again. Daily is so easy to carry, it's hard for me to move out into my other beautiful, yet fussy bags.

The Borough bag! I loved it's classic beauty and simplicity from the beginning, but could get over the size. (I prefer smaller but not tiny bags.) But once I saw the teal Borough and purchased it, it was down hill for me. :)
