I go through phases. I went through a phase at about this time last year where I was buying Yurman like crazy! I couldn't help myself. Now it is Tiffany silver. I bought a necklace, then I decided I needed the Tiffany Notes tag bracelet (both of which I LOVE BTW). I was craving another piece of Tiffany (it is an addiction) and I went to the website and saw that they are offering free shipping. Eek! This does nothing for my self restraint. Does anyone else get these cravings and how do you keep them at bay when you really shouldn't be buying?

Let me know when you find out. I just went on a Tiffany craze myself (it also started with a necklace). Then I needed a matching bracelet, rings, etc., etc., etc. It's terrible!

Enablers!!! I am not sure I can hold off much longer. It doesn't help that I just got my annual bonus at work and now I feel I need to "reward" myself.... (we won't talk about my January reward and my February reward...but hey, this is a new month ;)

dont worry...I have the solution: move to a country that doesn't have those stores and anything you buy will definitely get lost at customs...:roflmfao: that's what usually happens to me....I can only shop when I travel so when I finally get out of the country, I am done lusting over a lot of stuff....I went through a David Yurman phase myself until I got tired of looking at pieces online...now it's Tiffany...and most recently Chanel!

If you figure how to satisfy the cravings, other than buying more, let me know. I just bought a Tiffany silver charm bracelet and two charms, now I'm eyeballing about four more charms, the gold mini tag braclet, the bead stud earrings and the heart pendant. And don't get me started on those wonderful wonderful boxes they come in.
Sorry, I just realized I'm no help either.

The ironic thing is that I don't have a Tiffany store anywhere near me so I buy online. You would think that would deter me b/c I can't see the pieces IRL but nope...

I get huge Tiffany cravings...bought the Teardrop necklace just last week and still want MORE! I cant believe tiffany.com is offering free shipping but not the Canadian site! Grr

I've never bought so many Tiffany jewelry in one year (2008)! I'm STILL obsessed right now....i have this tradition that I made up myself. lol I buy myself whatever I like from Tiffany every birthday.....but I'm sure I will grow out of it soon (when I get bored of sterling silver probably)

My "tradition" lately is to buy myself something from Tiffany whenever I feel like I have worked hard and deserved it....sad thing is that I am a workaholic and so each month, I try to "justify" buying a new piece. Every birthday would be no sweat but monthly is getting expensive ;)

lol my tradition is turning into that...like every 3 months, i have something new. Im on a ban now! Until my birthday in june :). Im selling stuff that i dont need in my closet, but when i think about my tiffany pieces, im just not ready to get rid of them yet

I am on my fiance's account trying to research a Vuitton Sprouse that I want to suprise her with and I stumble across this thread. You think you all have it bad... I had bought some 2 dozen sterling pieces in the past 2 years before my fiance decided last christmas that 18k was more her speed. So now I am tasked with replacing 15 pieces she already has in sterling that she cannot do without in gold.

This is very disheartening to my wallet :(

What's even more scary is she keeps "hinting" at an engagement upgrade to the legacy setting.

She has a channel set platinum 1/2 carat G color VS1 w/ another 1/4 carat channel set VS1 diamond, but is eyeballing a 1 carat! legacy :(. If a half carat channel-set is $5400 can I expect to pay $15000 for a 1 carat legacy?

So yah, you think you all have it bad? mine is Tiffany Trainspotting :(

Yes, I believe we all get Tiffany & Co. cravings from time to time. It also doesn't helpt that they just opened one twenty miles from where I live!

Luckily I work five days a week and go to school for two, so I never have time.

But yes, I have the new charcoal Elsa Peretti bone cuff in small on my list, as well as Paloma's charms in amethyst and citrine, an 18 karat rose gold key, and a yellow or white gold circle bolo necklace. On top of the Somerset collection.

I've worked my way through 1837 and its many incarnations already. Except those interlocking circles look nice! A bit like Cartier, but nice!

Anyway, as long as you can afford it, go ahead. And maybe once in a while even if you can't. And you will never outgrow silver, so long as you make new metal additions to your jewelry.

It's also worth mentioning what a bargain Tiffany's rose gold is compared to Cartier, and it's just as well made.
