Do you dip your salad in dressing or do you pour the dressing directly onto the salad?

Sometimes I attempt to dip, but I usually end up pouring it on.

Usually, I pour it on, but with the leftover dressing, I will dip the pieces of lettuce that didn't get as much dressing. I always need some kind of dressing with my salad.

it depends on the dressing. if it's something thicker like ranch or honey mustard, i'll dip. thinner dressings like balsamic vinagrette, i'll pour on
