Do women dress to impress men OR women dress for other women?

Everyday I dress for myself, I really don't care what other people thinks.....of course if someone (a man or woman) compliments me on something I am flattered.
To go out I dress to impress women AND men. Even if most of the men I know don't give a s.. about latest trends, they like it simple.

Depends on the woman... But most often I think women dress for other women. I'm a SAHM, and I dress for C-O-M-F-O-R-T. Especially on days like today when it's freezing outside and baby's got a cold and is very needy and I am on the floor playing with him ALL FREAKIN' DAY.

It depends on the situation. I would have to say both. If I go out to a lounge/club, I am definitely dressing for men. But if I am shopping, I would say for the sales associates (which are usually women). You get better service if you are dressed with a nice bag/shoes/jewelry.

I've dressed for myself these past couple of years, even though romp around sweats and all don't flatter me. I do get a bag to impress other women, and I would think subconsciously shoes, since guys don't like flats really, but love heels and how our legs look in them. Lately though I'm starting to wear more fitted clothes, but I can assure you the main reason is not to make other women jealous. :roflmfao:

definitely for other women/ to please themselves......
men don't really care or understand fashion, as long as you don't dress in a manner so bad that u'd embarrass them they are fine....
its tacit competition with other women...but at the same time even there is no one to compete with, women dress to make themselves happy too (at least I do) :)

Myself mostly. I don't care what everyone else likes if I don't like something.

I dress somewhat for the people around me - I see males as more of my equal so it's not a matter of attracting all the time - and showing my interests and public personality through my clothes.

It's rare that I dress for attracting...very rare.

Lol I agree, guys really have no idea.
I dress for myself because I like looking put together.
I also love checking out people's outfits! I'm big on cute shoes and accessories.

I don't believe that anyone dresses 100% for their own enjoyment. I think all of us (however minute) yearn for someone to say "Rockin' Outfit!" or "Girl/Boy, you look fantastic today" -- I think its human nature to seek attention in some way or form.

I know that I wear things to (1) please my alter ego "Juan" who is always having a "Super Model Run Way Moment" (2) to please my BF cause if he stops lookin' I would be pissed! (3) for other gay guys -- cause honestly I get a small kick out of making them jealous/look/stare (4) for others in general.

But then I like being the center of attention!

i dress for my self to feel good and pretty when meeting men, but it's the women's opinion i cared more :p

on the i dress for myself thing, i said this because i won't wear things that i don't comfortable with although i know i'll look sexy in high heels, but i don't wear them, because i'm not comfortable of them.

I think women dress for other women to see. It's about competition on who dresses the best, i.e. what designer bag they carry, what designer clothing they are wearing etc.
