do u always match shoes to purse?

Matchy matchy is not necessary. Sometimes I match color, but not texture (patent shoes and a bag with that same color, but fabric or "regular" leather). One rule I have heard is that you want the metals to be harmonious so if you have a gold clutch you might have a shoe that has gold detailing not silver.
 
I don't think the rule really applies because its the entire ensemble that people will be looking at. Obviously you shouldn't match items that have totally different characteristics - just make a decision based on your fashion intuition on what looks good as a collective.
 
no I don't when I grab a bag to go, I am more concerned if it would work with my outfit then my shoes.

thats funny how I never think of the two as having to go with each other. go figure.
 
I have a lot of black shoes and brown shoes and really only black and brown purses pretty much, so I sort of usually match. It's not really intentional though. I just don't have a lot of color to work with.
