Do people say thank you anymore?

OOh. Wish I could be like you, Princess! I wish I had the guts to retort sarcastically, but I usually just end up doing that in my own head :cursing:

I do make it a point to say "please" and "thank you"! And like BagLady, I still thank the bf (6 years) after he buys me dinner. I think it's cute! Plus, I don't wanna be starting to take him for granted that way.

I suppose it must be true that people are less polite nowadays. I've had cab drivers tell me that I'm very well brought up - simply because I say "Could you please travel by blah blah way? Thank you!" after I tell them my destination.

Thoroughly strange, since it doesn't seem to be any more polite than what I would expect from anyone, but apparently it's enough for the cab drivers to remark about it. :shame:
