Do Epi's have codes?

I bought this Red Epi and I'm not sure if its authentic. Inside has no Louis Vuitton Tag and I can't find the serial number or code inside.

Yup, try checking along the inside sides of the bag. It might be a little hard to read since it's heat stamped on the alcantra, so I suggest possibly using a flashlight:
