Do CL's in the 'Classic' collection stay indefinitely?

I'm pretty new to CL (I bought my first three pairs only a few weeks ago :shame:smile: but I noticed on the CL shop website that shoes such as the Pigalle Patent Spike 100mm are in the "Classic" collection.

Do Classic CLs stay on the website for a long time as if they are 'staples' of CL? Or does the Classic just mean that it's the Classic shoe (ie. Pigalle) with a seasonal twist (ie. Spikes).

I ask because I really want the aforementioned black patent spike, but I'm worried that it's going to be taken out of production soon or something, or if it being in the Classic group means it will be there for a while?

Would love any input! I'm not sure of how CL works, seasonally or otherwise. How much time do you usually have to get something seasonal before it gets removed from the website, etc?

I'm surprised they classify the Spikes under the Classic Collection.
Usually that's reserved for the Pigalles, Biancas, etc. in the more basic black patent or nude.

The spikes have been out at least 2 years now so maybe they've become a classic.
I wouldn't wait too long to buy them however. They usually sell out fairly fast.
