district mm damaged by wearing

after one and a half year my son‘s district mm was damaged just by wearing crossbody. first there was a kink, and then a crack.
meanwhile it‘s repaired, and i have to thank the fantastic service employee.

Yeah, wondering the same thing. in concept just need to replace that part of flap but doesn't LV said not repair canvas?

The flaps on the canvas district messengers are able to be repaired. It’s a seperate piece of canvas from the rest of the bag. Other LV canvas pieces tend to be the entire structure of the piece, making them have to essentially build a brand new piece, so they are considered not repairable

How was it repaired?

it was sent to paris and (only) the flap was exchanged.
it looks still new. the data code is the same.

hope that mine will not crack … but it‘s stupid to wear it not crossbody.

Before I was told that changing the flap is an option for my district pm that maybe what they would do.
