Most of the time, I strive for urban chic/minimalist, but I have an awesome pair of distressed brown leather boots that only come out on weekends and want a great bag to carry with them. I'm thinking it should be brown and distressed, and like the idea of a crossbody, but I'm also open to ideas--I'm totally out of my comfort zone on this! The boots make me feel feminine and tough--looking for a bag that does the same.

Possibly a vintage Coach? They made loads of brown leather crossbody bags in various shapes/sizes back in the day that would look cool with distressed moto / cowboy boots

I was going to suggest Frye too. They have one that I love (Jenny satchel). That one scratches pretty easily. But they have others that are thicker, more distressed leather.

I like Coach classics too. They would be more versatile. Something in a mahogany or tan leather with brass hardware, or black. I have a ramblers legacy flap bag and a basic bag. Bleecker duffles might work, lots of simple bags will. Depends on how western you want to go. Unless you find a bag you love, I would get something versatile like a Bleecker mini duffle.

I would get a versatile bag and explore the western theme with jewelry. Lucky Brand?

How about a Balenciaga Town, Velo, or Day in brown? If you get what's called the "regular hardware" variety, it has tassels. And tassels seem like fringe, and the crinkly leather is boho and potentially cowgirlish. There's a wonderful range of browns, from lightest camel to dark dark chocolate.

If you're open to a shoulder bag instead of cross-body, maybe a Chloe Silverado? Available at all the online resellers, in brown, black, python....even red. A lovely "western" bag for an urban chic gal.

Kooba has some really nice bags at a good price point that may be a good style for the look you're going for. I also would look on Ebay or Etsy for a cool vintage tooled leather bag...
