Discontinuing 35cm Ostrich Birkins!?!

A prominent eBay Hermes seller is claiming that Hermes are going to discontinue Ostrich Birkins in the 35cm size.

Has anyone else heard this rumour, and is there any truth in it? I hope not - I'm desperate for a 35cm Fuchsia Birkin!

MY SA said they are not making them right now because they can't get big enough skins or something like that. He didn't say if it's "forever" but for now they are not making them.

I just checked at FSH a few days ago and they said the same thing. I wanted to SO a 35 ostrich Birkin and was told they were not taking orders for a 35 at this time due to the amount of skin required.

I was given this same information recently by an SA. It is a combination of not having large enough skins available to make a 35cm, and animal rights group pressures. Keep in mind that I am not trying to start any type of animal rights debate here, I am simply passing on the information. I have no idea if it is true, it was info from one SA.
