Hello,
I have quite a few bags from other Luxury designers but I've put off making my first Chanel bag purchase for 2 reasons..1. I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted and 2. I was supposed to go to London last month and I had been planning on shopping while I was there.
I'm in the US so I didn't get to go so I just decided to bite the bullet. I've purchased some cardholders from the boutique (Boston) but didn't have a relationship with anyone. Went in this weekend and had decided I really wanted a small classic flap and decided to go classic with Black caviar and gold hardware. The gal I was working with was lovely and said that there were some in a variety of boutiques but they only had silver hardware so she put in an order/request and said I'd get a pay link. I paid and then on Sunday she said all the ones from the boutique she was trying to get it from were all reserved so she was going to get it from somewhere else and sent me another pay link. I paid that and since then I haven't heard from her...it's been a few days and I followed up via text a couple times because I haven't been charged, there is no email or shipping info and she's not responding. I know that my LV SA never responds on days he's not working...is this typical of most SAs? I have no idea if she's working but I'm assuming at this point I'm not getting one? I was supposed to go back into the boutique to pick it up.
How long is reasonable before I get any information? And if I don't hear back is there something else I can do? It's still showing on the Chanel website but she said she can only get one from another boutique?
Thanks for any help

Have you tried calling another store to see if they can find the bag you want? Replying with a quick update should be no biggie. Find another SA is my advice, your first Chanel bag is too important to be tainted by a dismal buying experience. A good sales person would understand this.

I recently bought a cardholder from Chanel in another country and the SA was exemplary, and I'm definitely not some Chanel VIP customer. She kept me updated on Whatsapp throughout, answered all my questions on other items I was interested in.

Ask around until you find someone who is glad to help you.

Should I be concerned about the fact that I've paid the link that was sent to me? I def don't want to have 2 on order!

I’ve been told last week that only 3 pieces in this combination/size were available in the country so unfortunately it might not be actually available by now.. but I do agree that the SA should not leave you hanging there ..

In this day and age, a good SA should reply with same etiquette, if not better, than you would via text. I say within 24 hours is professional. My advice is to calm the boutique and ask to speak with the SA. If they are not working that day, speak directly with the manager or floor supervisor and ask them to relay the message to your SA that you would like a status on your order. YOU are the client paying lots of money for a luxury item. It’s the SA’s role to follow through to keep your business.

Usually you are supposed to know if it’s cancelled or not because you don’t see it reflect on your credit card if it didn’t go through. Mine got cancelled too but my sa was better at it, she told me. Takes 24 hours to show up if it got processed. However, I also purchase a slg recently through phone order via link and it showed up within 24 hours and it’s already on its way.

They had a problem with links a few weeks ago and I had to pay by phone. I am based in the UK but not sure if it was worldwide. it was right around the time of the price increase so there were lots of delays and it was all a bit mental. If the payment is accepted and they have the bag you get the delivery notice immediately so I can only assume it either hasn't worked or they don't have the stock. I would contact your SA to ask what is going on as if they don't have it you can hunt for it elsewhere.

Any news on the bag? Did your SA get back to you?
