I already posted this in the Givenchy forum:

I am so disappointed right now.

I bought the Givenchy studded boots and after wearing them once had to contact customer service. They are squeaky as hell. People around started commenting on them - not fun.

I just got the answer that they cannot do anything because I ordered them off Farfetch. I told them about the seller from the beginning and yet they still wanted detailed info like invoice, my address, code printed in the shoe etc.

After getting all these details the tell me the reason they can’t do anything is the shop I ordered them online? Why not tell me in the first place?!

Anyone experiencing the same problem with those boots? Any idea how to get rid of the squeaky sound?

:(

Can you open a paypal complaint ?
Farfetch customer service is slow, but friendly and supportive .I would call and of course remember the name of the person to talk to ,
so I can always turn to him in the further course . Incidentally, they have a special fund for such cases

I’d claim them for sure. IF you do get stuck with them you could try and have your shoemaker work on them. The noise isn’t from the style (nor the brand). It’s most likely from bad construction on your specific pair. Squeaking means that there’s air trapped somewhere in there. If you’re “lucky” it’s under the heel lift which can be removed and replaced. If it’s under the soling, there’s nothing that I know of that can be done but I’d sure try to get them credited before trying to fix them. Squeaking doesn’t just happen-it’s there from the getgo so it’s something we should all take note of when trying on footwear prior to wearing them out. Sorry that this happened to you but know that it can happen to any brand.

They will not send me another pair. The 10% is everything they’re willing to refund. ... hopefully I will find a good shoemaker who will find the problem.

Again, so sorry that this happened to you but assuming that this is a recent purchase I know that I would put in a credit card claim. IMO you were sold defective product and I’d fight it out for a full credit on the site at the least although I’d prefer a full return. I would not let this go. 10% IMO is insulting. I’ve never bought from them, but know now that I never will. Trapped air squeaking is the worst and makes any shoe IMO unwearable.

They sold you a squeaker, now it’s YOUR turn to be a squeaker. Don’t let this go. Squeaky wheels get oiled...

Post back and crossing fingers!

I paid via PayPal and cannot claim a credit refund anymore as far as I understand the website. Please correct me if I’m wrong?

I would go directly to my credit card. Assuming you don’t have constant issues they should back you. How long has it been since purchase? They must have made noise since the day you got them.

I have never had experience with Givenchy footwear, but in a situation like this, when the direct designer store is not the place where you bought your shoes, I think it would be more helpful to say they were a gift: hence you don't have the receipt and don't know when and where they were originally purchased. What matters is that they are authentic and the manufacturer has to assume responsibility regardless of the retailer.
