I have a made for outlet bag that was gifted to me last year. Obviously it was gifted brand new with tags. Unfortunately the top of the bag has become completely unstitched. I brought the bag into the store 6 months ago (I keep it at my Florida / beach home) and they said come back with the tag and they'll find me a new one. Now, I'm back at the Florida home and took the bag in a second time - now they claim that since I am not the original purchaser (in the system) that I can pay $60-80 to have the bag re-stitched in 6 to 8 weeks. That almost totals the cost of the $170 bag. MK is officially a joke in my mind.

I haven't returned anything to the outlets. Only the FP boutique. MK does have a stingy return policy, especially compared to Coach. And the repair system is not well organized at all. I prefer to buy MK outside of the store for this reason.

I understand your frustration. I was on the phone about a half dozen times today trying to find out where I could get a replacement hangtag. Seems the phone lines on line are answered by a service not the actual company/ Very frustrating as all I want to know is if I can get another hangtag. The process should not be this time consuming and difficult!

That stinks! If the customer service were better, they would have taken care of this the first time you came in six months ago. Sorry you had to wait for nothing.

I have always been disappointed with the MK customer service. I find all the SA very rude and snobby and it seems like they judge me whenever I walk in the store... Unfortunately, I don't have a Macy's or a Nordstrom (yet) where I'm from therefore I will continue to make my MK purchases from the MK store.
