The second one will not date because it is the classic Dior look.
The Diorama has been around for 2 years now but I don't know if it will be around for decades, so if you want something classic, go for the Lady Dior style (the second one).
I would get which ever sings to you. A black bag is going to be classic no matter what IMO.
Hello, was looking at the Dior website and the second one did catch my eye. Do you know if the opening clasp is a magnetic closure?

In Hawaii there is a promotion so it's 1600 USD should be around 10% less than mainland. £1300 in UK
On the Dior website it states 950 (British Pounds) but says temporarily unavailable. I will try to call one of the SAs to find out more about the bag. Does anyone have this bag?
