Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great day :)

I saw a Youtuber with the Dior Saddle bag in Sage green and loved it. This past weekend I was browsing at my local Dior boutique and they just happened to have one with the new strap. I purchased it right away thinking that it's a unique but still neutral colour. But now i've having second thoughts. While I think it is a neutral colour, and very unique (I've never seen a green saddle bag in real life), I'm not sure i'll be able to wear it much in winter.

What do you think of the saddle bag in this colour?

Thanks AJ! I like the colour, I've just never had any green bags and green is not typically a colour I would go for so I'm a little nervous. Thanks for your feedback, I think I'm feeling better now :)

The saddle bag is cool in leather. I had the original blue denim one from back in the days.

At this price point, you have to pick a color more versatile all year round. Personally, if I were to do it all over again (and in leather), I'd go for Royal Blue, Indigo or Black. Even white. And just let the design "shine".

But my all time favorite is still the denim. I don't know why, the Saddle bag in denim is classic.

thanks for the feedback! I'm weird in that i'm not a huge fan of black bags, unless the design looks particularly good in black, e.g. Chanel Boy, Chanel 19. That's just my personal opinion obviously. I considered the Saddle in Indigo/dark blue but I have a Chanel Gabrielle in a very similar colour and I want to diversify. You're absolutely right in that at this price point, you'd want a bag that can be worn all year round. That's why I'm having second thoughts

I love it! I considered getting this colour too but they didn’t have it when I went to the store.
Thanks! When i saw it in the store (and strangely, they didn't have any of of the other colours I was interested in like grey, latte, cloud blue.....), I thought it was meant to be.

Will the store be getting more colors in? Just to be very, very sure, I think at least you should see grey, latte, or cloud blue (any one of them) before you make the final call.

But if you thought Sage Green is meant to be, then it is meant to be.

Not sure, I might have to text the SA. They did have a mini Latte but it was too white for my taste.

I have the black (which I love) but the green is without doubt rarer and very special. I only wear mine for evening anyway.

Unless you've got home and realise this is a big mistake and your heart sinks when you look at this bag (we've all been there) then perhaps you're overthinking. If you love the bag but only think you'll enjoy it half the year then you need to make it work come Winter.

I have lots of green bags (at least 7). I'm quite a seasonal dresser and prefer light/bright in the Spring and Summer.

The Sage will look fantastic in the warmer months, you just have to figure out how to incorporate it in your wardrobe Autumn and Winter. We don't know your wardrobe or your colouring so you'll have to do that fr yourself.

If you think go como and khaki as neutrals you can see how a lightened tint of a similar colour can easily fit into a Winter wardrobe. You can easily work this with greys, stone, taupes, navy, black, browns and winter whites. You can even wear it with reds and oranges and not look like a Christmas tree. All shades of olives, sages and khaki. The brass is making it more golden than the actual colour, so I would tone with on-the-warm-side. If you wear lighter denims in the winter this will have the same value in saturation so will actually go really well.

You have black bags. Go play, enjoy.

Thank you for your detailed response! One thing I do have is a plethora of neutrals, colours and prints in my wardrobe (I think it would look fantstic with pink/nude floral prints which I'm a big fan of), so I should be able to make this work. At this point, I've decided that I really do like the colour and even if I use the bag only in the warmer months, I'm okay with it. I'm in sunny Sydney so plenty of warm months here throughout the year!
Ohhhhh I love this colour! So beautiful, i would personally wear it in the winter as I do wear a lot of pastels year around. But I do understand your concern whether you would be using it enought if you dont usually go for greens. What color have you been thinking at?
Thank you! I love pastels myself :) I was definitely interested in this colour after seeing it in a Youtube video but I didn't think they would have this colour in stock because it's no longer on the Dior website. When I went in, I asked to see the latte colour, as well as cloud blue and grey but none of them were available (even though they were showing available on the website). They had a mini Saddle in latte which my SA brought out for me to look at the colour, and I definitely liked the sage green more, albeit it is a less versatile colour.
This is a stunning colour!
I personally love a green bag and have quite a few, you can not only wear with neutrals (beige, white, denim) but also could be fun in summer with pops of colour, like pairing with pinks, mustards, blues or other greens. I would literally wear a green (khaki or sage) bag in place of a tan bag!
Thanks! I've always liked the idea of green bags and every time I'm browsing bags online, I'm always drawn to the green bags (eyeing the BV mini jodie in "new sauge" right now XD), but this is the first time I've pulled the plug. I tried the bag on with a pale pink playsuit last night and it looked fantatsic!
