Hello everyone,

I've been eyeing a few of the beautfiul Dior fine jewelry rings and have a question for all those, who own them/know more about the actual material. I tried getting someone from the hotline of Dior or the boutique on the phone all day, but seems like my luck ran out and nobody picked up :(
So, I've been ogling the 18k plain gold rings, but the website says nothing about whether or not the gold has been plated or what other materials were used apart from the gold itself?
Does anybody know? How about the quality compared to "normal" or other houses, especially known for jewelry (VCA, T&Co)? Dior is a fashion house for me, and I've never tried fine jewelry from a fashion house before. Can't go into the boutique or a jeweller near me and try them, as I don't live near any.
So please purseforum, help me out!

TIA!

I just went and looked at the website. They are supposed to disclose if an item is plated or solid. It looks to me as if they do.
They are very open about their fashion jewellery being plated with fake stones, and give good descriptions of the fine jewellery. If you stick to the fine jewellery, you should get the real McCoy. As for the quality, I’m sorry, I don’t know. I do know that you pay a premium for the name, be it fashion or fine.

I have the Dior Oui ring which I believe is not part of their fashion jewellery. I was told it is white gold and has a small diamond on it with no further plating. My friend recently bought a pair of earrings from the fashion jewellery line that had crystals on them. 3 has already fallen out on its own. The quality of the trendy pieces and string bracelets just don't seem good to me at all. I hope that helps!
