I was hoping to treat myself to an embroidered strap for upcoming birthday but I'm in the UK and there will now be exorbitant charges if ordered online :tdown:

Given that the UK boutiques are closed at the moment anyway, I wondered if there was a way for me to order direct from them. I don't have a relationship with an SA, I have only ever purchased online. Does anyone have contact details for any of the UK Boutiques?

So grateful for any help/advice :smile:

Do you mean there are customs and import fees even if you order from the Dior UK website? That's strange; I've never bought from the Dior site but have done from the Hermes and LV ones and even though the items come from France, there are no additional fees (as long as you order from the UK site).

Having said that, if you prefer to buy from a boutique, you can book a virtual appointment with one on the Dior UK site :tup:

Have you bought from LV/Hermes since 1st January 2021? I just assumed there would be fees because I know that the goods don't come from a UK warehouse, I am sure my order last year came from Italy. I am worried that I will be hit with fees on delivery and have no idea what they would be - online research suggests it could be as much 40%! I will ask the question via Dior website and see what they say - i thought they would tell me that I need to check the situation for my country but maybe they have an arrangement to ship from a UK base.

Yes I have ordered from the LV and Hermes sites since 1 Jan 2021, no additional fees, and delivery was as fast as pre-1 Jan or at most took 1 day longer which is impressive considering that they also have to clear customs every time :biggrin:

Like I said, you might want to book a virtual appointment with one of the Dior UK boutiques and they might have the strap in store already or be able to order it for you and advise of any applicable fees (did this with an LV boutique in London early Jan and they ordered a scarf for me from the Paris warehouse, absolutely no shipping or customs/import fees!) :smile:

For the moment I looks like all brands/shops are assuming the extra costs and keeping the prices. In the future, I guess we may say price increases and differences on both sides.

Has anyone ordered from the UK website recently and encountered delivery issues? My Dior parcel has been stuck in France for a week now it's so frustrating. I know there are delays at the moment but I ordered from the Hermes site also and that was delivered from France within 2 days

I ordered a bag online from UK website last week and it came yesterday and was 2 days earlier then it was scheduled (also with no extra fees). I live in Northern Ireland so not sure if that affects anything, as it was shipped from France directly to Northern Ireland. Could be delays to shipping to England?
Also me and my sister both ordered each other something from Gucci last week, same item at the same time. I received the one she sent me yesterday and the one I ordered her hasn’t even shipped yet, it’s still processing (she lives in England)

This is good to hear! I’m also in Northern Ireland and was holding off ordering in case it was going to be a headache!

Off to the website I pop... :yahoo:
