Dior 30 Montaigne (pictures only)

I got to see the new 30 Montaigne bag today by chance (launch date is tomorrow). It is available in black, white, and oblique. The smooth leather is luscious but gives me stress lol. Interior is the same as the Diorama (one flap zipped pocket in the back, one flattish pocket in the front for your phone or a card holder). The back exterior features a flat pocket, with 30 Montaigne embossed (a nice detail imo).

Priced at C$4400 for leather and C$3900 for jacquard.

The French cousins for comparison - though my baby C is an older version (C23 vs now C24). Similar with single gusset and external back pocket. 30 Montaigne is just slightly bigger at 24 cm.

I saw it today in store. The leather is very nice and sturdy. And best of all the chain strap can be removed to fit a guitar strap. Seriously thinking about putting down a deposit for the oblique version.

Comparison pics of the chain version of the 30 Montaigne and the Diorama, both in black grained calfskin. The Montaigne has an exterior back pocket which the diorama does not have. That pocket is Convenient for my phone and comfortable fits the iPhone X. The diorama is slightly bigger but not enough to really make a difference in how much you can put in either. But comparing the quality of finish, especially on the third side view shot, the diorama has a much better finish to it’s edges.

Wanted to try the black in grained calf skin with ghw but spotted this beauty instead!
Still dilemma between matte full black or smooth leather!
