Dionysus (with Swarovski crystals) - Check your Stones!

On February 23, 2019, I purchased a gorgeous Dionysus belt adorned with Swarovski crystals. On March 11, 2019, I discovered 4 of the crystals were missing. Because I know Gucci has a 14-day return policy and can be really funky when it comes to refunds (irrespective of whether their product was defective), I prepared myself for a potential fight. Thankfully, I got the right manager who saw everything that was so WRONG with this situation who without hesitation offered me a refund and/or replacement. She also told me she had a feeling the belt was sold to me with the crystals missing and apologize on Gucci's behalf. Because I feared this would potentially happen over time, as well as am a bit soured on the Gucci quality of today, I ran with my refund and ended up purchasing a gorgeous Ferragamo belt

What made made this situation even worse was that I had just returned the day before a Gucci Double G belt because the gold had worn off in two spots on the buckle. I purchased this belt in November of 2017. The manager felt I must have rubbed up against something. REALLY. The bottom line is that the quality is sorely lacking in so many of the Gucci items, because the demand is so high. In this situation, I opted to accept a replacement belt in a different style.

With this said, I highly recommend that any of you ladies who currently own any Dionysus adorned with Swarovski crystals, to check them and check them often. If you are considering purchasing this style, my recommendation is that you do not.

Idk if qualify is any worse than other designers. Multitude of complaints on here about lv and Chanel. I’ve been lucky and have not had issues with Gucci and have bought for years. Sorry this happened to you but your latest belt issue was certainly handled well by Gucci.

I agree. I was very fortunate, where so many others are not. Gucci needs to take ownership when an item is returned for quality control issues instead of telling people its "wear and tear." BS.

I’m glad the manager at Gucci listened to your concerns and refunded you for the missing stones. Good customer service is a must. Maybe the stones are too delicate for a belt design where the body is constantly moving.

I have the Gucci Dionysus Small in Black leather with Crystals. I use it a lot and the stones and leather are in perfect condition. It is one of the only bags I wear that gets so many compliments. I have several Gucci bags and have not had any issues. Love them!

You are one of the lucky one. I am missing a crystal on the tiger head and I called and talk to Gucci, but they refuse to repair for me unless I show them a receipt. I got this as a present so I don't have a receipt. If anybody know where to find a identical crystal for the bag let me know. I am just frustrated. This is my first luxury bag and I feel like I got the bad end of a deal. Don't know what else to do. The representative are rude and can't seem to help at all. The people at the store are also rude. They seem to not understand you and all they want is to prove you wrong. I showed them my bag is brand new but they don't care.

Did you send an email to customer service as well? Keep trying it doesn’t seem fair. Even if they won’t repair it or do it for free, can they not send you out a Crystal for a few and then you can have someone repair/glue it for you? Scary to think they are not even trying to assist

They said I would have to take it to a Gucci store and have the manager check it out. Then they have to send the bag out to be evaluated by the repair team to see if they can fix it. It can take up to a month for them to let you know if they can fix the bag. I don't know why it would take a month if we are only replacing the crystal on the bag.
 
You are a life saver! I checked mine yesterday and one of my tiger's eyes was missing! I took it back and some lady gave me grief about using it gently--- I wanted to say "or maybe make a better product". I purchased it a few months ago so they said they were going to send it back and give me an update from the inspector. I hope they don't charge me!
