Dionysus or marmont? Help me decide please!!!

Hi All!!!!

I'm not usually on the Gucci forum too much. I'm a lover of Chanel, Prada and Mulberry and although the I've had many Gucci bags over the years, I've fallen out of love with the brand until recently.

I know I'm a bit late to the party but I suddenly find myself really drawn to the Dionysys - after originally not really liking it all!! My only worry is that it's now yesterday's trend and if I'm spending a lot of money on an 'it bag' (which I think Gucci bags generally are) I'm keen to get a bag that's hot just now (I already own a lot of 'classic' bags). The other Gucci style I really like is bag is the Marmont (medium size in nude) - the only thing that's holding me back is that I'm not sure the quality feels great for the price tag. I know it's not in the Chanel price bracket, but it's still not a cheap bag!! I'm looking for an everyday dress up / dress down bag. I'm a working mum to 3 boys so this bag will see a lot of wear and tear!!

I would very much appreciate your thoughts .... my husband is sick of listening to my endless ramblings about which one to get!!!

I love the Dionysus, and will probably be buying it in the next few months. It's stunning, especially in person! I'd say go try both on and see which one you like better. Everyone is going to have their preference, but what really matters is which bag speaks to you. Good luck, and I can't wait to see what you choose!

Go for Marmont. It’s so beautiful, classy and can go with both dress down and dress up. I’m not worry for the quality of the bag. Many friends had bought this bag and no complaints at all. I saw their pics wearing them all over Instagram *lol* and I can’t find any negatives in this bag.
The only thing that holding me back is the color choice. Nude one seems can not holding up that well for the wear&tear.
But I know its still soo..sooo darn pretty!

THats why now I’m leaning toward the black.

I agree with sdhal001. Go try them both and see which one speaks to you. You can’t go wrong. I think both a gorgeous bags

I’d go for the Marmont. I’m head over heels about it. The Dionysus is a beautiful bag, but I don’t find it practical. Besides, I believe the Marmont strap is more comfortable due to the leather part.
