I have these two bags and I'm thinking of letting one go. I'm downsizing my collection and I think they both serve pretty much the same purpose. Which one do you suggest I should keep?

I like how they are both very Gucci and also special:
Dionysus was my first Gucci and I especially like the tiger ornament (cats are my favorite animals).
GT is a bag I was waiting for from the moment I've seen it online. I love everything: silver hardware, monogram, bamboo handle. But I haven't worn it yet (no opportunity yet).
They fit about the same - both a little too small for me, but I can handle that.

Team Dionysus!!! I honestly don’t care for the Dionysus at all in general, but yours is the first one I’ve seen that’s made me go “wow!!” The vanity case look of the GT one is really cool too though. Maybe try and use it at least once to see how you feel about it?

Your Dionysus is to die for! :panic: How long ago did you buy it?

I can't see how these two serve the same purpose as to me they seem completely different, but I am sure you have your reasons for saying that.

It's hard to help as the second bag is really, REALLY cool too... Could you maybe post modeling pictures of both? It would be much easier to tell which one suits you better if we could see them "in action". :rolleyes:

And to answer all:
By the same purpose I mean they are both small bags with a flap closure.
I bought Dionysus in 2016 the day it was released (GT too actually). It was a limited edition, an online exclusive.
I agree with one being s/s and the other all year. I guess I should wear GT for a while to see how comfortable it is to use and then decide.

It’s so hard to choose. I understand stand for you that they serve the same purpose, i.e they fit the same amount in, however looks wise they are entirely different.

I am a huge fan of the Dionysus bags and it’s awesome that you got your hands on an exclusive limited edition piece. I love the tiger head clasp and snake, makes the pretty bag more edgy. I love the hardware colour as well. Plus it was your first Gucci!!!

The Gucci Globe Trotter is really cool too. You can’t go wrong with the classic GG logo. The only thing is that it looks kinda boxy when worn crossbody. I love the look handheld though.

Your Dionysus is a rare collectors piece. The print might be bold but it’s very Gucci and a flap design is always classic. The Garden and florals are iconic Gucci.

I think you should keep both! Good luck deciding! :smile:

Ok OP, after seeing these pictures, PLEASE keep the Dionysus or give it to me! It's absolutely stunning! :panic:
May I ask how much you paid for it?
