I need a place to scream! can anyone help me? I really feel lost! I have wanted a LV for years. I didn't even care which one. I had owned several coach purses and I loved them all, I once bought a second hand parada on Facebook. But I always wanted a LV and I guess it was because all the girls in the office had one. But I really knew they were way above my pay grade and I would just have to get over it. Until I turned 65 and my husband who had just retired early the year before due to Covid. Anyway he sent me on a girls get a way to Tennessee and gave me his card to buy a LV! I think this is the place where ya'll would understand how exciting that is to a person. but I couldn't find one. We went to the mall to visit an LV store and I had decided on either a never full or delightful, they had neither. So I bought a pair of shoes in Dillards and called it a day. Once I came home I had thought I would return the shoes and buy the boots of the same style. So my sister in the car directs me to her local Dillards to change out the shoes and BAM they have a complete display table of LV. I exchanged the shoes and as I was walking out I asked for help in the handbag section and without any hesitation I picked up the delightful and said sold! although I do not remember what she looked like because I couldn't take my eyes off of the bag, at the register I was given a piece of paper that I was told to sign stating that I would not return the purse. I remember saying "Oh I bet ya'll get a lot of people buying bags to use for a special occasion and then return them? Well don't worry about me! I have wanted this purse for a long time and I am not giving it back!" I left the store feeling on top of the world! When I got in to the car my sister was looking at what I had just bought and asked about the dust bag that comes with it. It was dark blue and said "What goes around comes around" Hummmm it must be some type of promotion. and I told my sister that she was welcome to have it. for about a two weeks I didn't use it much except for the short errands then about two weeks later I had carried it most of the day at the casino when I noticed that the logo was peeling on both sides where the straps are. How could that be? could Dillards have sold me a fake? I didn't know what to think but when I called Dillards I was informed that I needed to contact What goes around comes around. What? my receipt says Dillards. So I contact the company and get no reply so I contact them again and nothing so I went onto instagram and made a buyer beware comment and suddenly I get a reply the next day. their only way to rectify the problem is go give me an address and a form to fill out where I give them my credit card for repairs. I paid $2150.00 and now I am supposed to foot the cost to ship, repair and ship again? i feel weak from disappointment. And I realize there are real 3rd world problems in the world but Dang it! so I called Dillards again and they have no intentions of helping me either. they said they only sell the product for the other company. I say my receipt says dillards and Texas has a consumer protection law!

What goes around is a reseller of the designer bags. I have seen them selling on shopbop.com…what bag did you buy that had a blue dust bag? They may have been displaying them for what goes around like a pop up shop within Dillards? I don’t have a Dillards in My area so I am not sure exactly how they handle it. Could you post a picture of the issue? Do you have a LV store near you that maybe they could fix through their repairs department?

If your receipt states that Dillard’s sold you the bag, then Dillard’s is responsible for the repair/replacement/refund and you need to go up the chain of command until you reach someone who is able to help you with your dilemma.

Customer service is supposed to be one of that stores main selling points and they certainly need to be up front and own up to the problem.

After all, they accepted your money, make it right.

If you zoom in you can see the logo peeling off. I had know idea that Dillards would sell for a third party "what goes around comes around"

There is nothing LV can do to fix the canvas. I know on some bags there have been issues of the canvas peeling. I don’t know what the agreement with Dillards and What goes around was. Maybe they bought some bags from them Or doing it on consignment…You mentioned that you signed a piece of paper stating the bag could not be returned. did it state why on the paper?
you may want to post this in the LV forum……

this is my first time to join a forum, my husband suggested it. So please forgive me for not following protocol, I really appreciate the feed back. I should have read the paper I signed and I guess this is the most expensive hard knocks lesson I have ever learned. but when I signed it, I was under the impression that people had bought a special bag for an occasion and then returned it the next day and in my mind that was not going to happen so I had no problem signing it. The sales clerk did not instruct or tell me otherwise!!

You followed everything fine and didn’t do anything wrong. I mentioned posting in the LV forum since you may get more responses being that it was LV you bought and maybe some members there were familiar with Dillards and LV…I’m guessing what goes around didn’t want to take returns and/or leave it to Dillards to take them back. I would need to know what the paperwork you signed specifically said. I guess maybe she didn’t say anything since the paperwork said it all and I don’t know what the agreement was between them on how they would be sold . Do you think the peeling could be from deoderant? It may make the canvas peel if it got onto the bag…Do you have a Louis Vuitton store near you?

DO NOT BUY A LV FROM DILLARDS . I PURCHASED ONE AND THE ZIPPER WAS STUCK.L THE NEXT DAY. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY OR GIVE ME A REPLACEMENT PURSE.
WHAT GOES AROUND AT DILLARD'S IS A RIP OFF.
DILLARD DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PURSE. I AM CLOSING MY ACCOUNT. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
