Dilemma: Which pearl necklace should I buy?

I would like to buy a Chanel pearl necklace and I really have difficulties deciding which one to buy. The first one is less common and the second one is more classic. If I should buy the second one, should i get the long (35") or the extra long(70")? The first one costs about $1000 and the second one costs $1000 for long and about $1600 for extra long.

Hi H-angel, the price is provided by my SA. It is $1275 US. Do u think it should be cheaper or more expensive? Apparently, this necklace was avail in 2010 and they have it again this year.

i have the 2nd one & the tiny pearls in the CC's keep falling out! i had them replaced at Chanel for a small fee but they continue to fall out...

I have the first one and love it so much. I also had the second one and sold it because I never wore it.

I like the second one better but it' s probably a bit dressier, the first one is more versatile and can dress up and down, so I would go with first one.
