Hi everyone!

I have a big dilemma. My sweet cousins and sister all chipped in and bought me the small Gucci marmont belt as a birthday gift. While I do love the belt, I'm 3 months pregnant and I'm worried about post partum weight gain and whether the belt will fit post pregnancy. I can barely fit it above my baby bump right now LOL! I still love the belt though and will definitely be wearing it.

My dilemma is whether I should exchange to a bigger size OR to something else like the Princetown loafers I've been eyeing as well and get the belt after pregnancy. A bigger size so I can somewhat still wear it above my baby bump for now and to account for my post partum weight gain haha. I also don't like exchanging gifts and feel a bit guilty about it if I exchanged it for a pair of shoes.

Would love everyone's opinion on this! What would you guys do if you were me?? Thank you!!!

Why don't you get the super mini marmont or the marmont camera case? It has the same look and you'll be able to wear it pre- during- and post-partum!

Getting a bigger size is not like returning the gift, and totally understandable. Also if you were up front with them and told them being pregnant the mules are useful, I'm sure they'd understand.
They gave you the gift because they want you to be happy, after all!

That's a tricky one So_in_LVoe, you have to know your audience (your cousins and your sister), plus you would feel guilty about exchanging. I would keep it and hope it still works now and for the future... Congrats on the pregnancy. It will all work out... it always does... I promise you.

I would stick with the belt but possibly exchange for size if needed, maybe the size is okay if you are able to wear it now but probably better to get a size larger if you are barely fitting the last hole. You can always punch extra holes too, so if you did go bigger and then lost weight you could punch holes to make it smaller.

I would return it for store credit and repurchase the same belt after you had your baby (or better, wait 6 months or so Post-partum to know what your waist size will be like). That way, you will still have the same gift that your cousins bought you and maybe feel less guilty that you exchanged it. i wouldn’t exchange it for the loafers as your cousins must have put lots of thoughts into getting you this belt, so it would have some sentimental value if it was me.
