In fairness, I like both. But I've noticed recently on my 22K dark pink WOC purchase that Chanel caviar has gotten a lot puffier and shinier than before. My WOC is literally glistening!
I kind of like the sheen on the new batch. This must be a new leather treatment they are doing. But I also like the old caviar too. More subtle and understated and indestructible!

I too like both but do lean in with a preference for the smaller grain like on the pink here. I do like the larger grain on classics but I only have that in the black maxi. I personally didn’t like the caviar on the white classics this season but every season and every piece itself is totally different.
I like both and all, that’s the beauty of leather, they are all different. Some bags get shinier with years and constant use.
I like them both. I have got used to seeing so many caviars over the years and I honestly love and enjoy them all. I like how they change from season to season and how certain caviars suit certain colours. The only one I didn’t like was the sueded caviar which was a dirt magnet
