Hello fam!

Hope everyone is well!

I had a question about the Dior materials. I dont have a boutique close by so getting information is a bit difficult and going to a store and seeing/feeling the different materials is difficult.

The typical Dior bags I see are made of some sort of cotton material? Is that correct? Is there something special about it? Waterproof? Stain resistant?

Im trying to decide between these 2...and one says "nylon"...but from the photos they look almost identical.

Item 1:

Item 2:

Just trying to understand their different materials and their pros/cons.

Item 2 seems like the material I see most. Is there anything special about that material? More or less concerned about durability.

Item one has nylon which is easily to clean and it won't pill/snag as easily. However, it doesn't have the beautiful texture finish of the original Oblique tapestry (item 2), since the nylon is just printed with the Oblique pattern.

I much prefer the original tapestry. It is actually the same material used on Dior's vintage bags. The weaving gives lots of variations to the material to create a beautiful look that I don't see often in other designer logo canvases. It is also not that delicate either. I find it to be quite sturdy, and it used to be used on their luggage pieces too.
