Did you know about Cartier's collaboration with Disney?

I know we are all Cartier fans, but I am not sure of all of you are aware of the Cartier/Disney bracelets. In 1937, Cartier created and sold a 14k yellow gold and enamel charm bracelet for the first-full length animated film ever - Snow White in the Seven Dwarfs. The bracelet was advertised for a price of $100 in the brochure for the film's premier, and Disney's wife was wearing it at the premier as well. Cartier also later went on to make a similar charm bracelet for Pinocchio, Disney's second animated feature film (and in the 70s - a golden Snoopy from Peanuts!). Below are image of these bracelets, and the advertisement from the Snow White premiere brochure.

The collaboration really seemed to prefigure the collaborations that we are seeing today between brands ( I think Disney collaborates with a few luxury designers now?).

G-orgeous H-eaven
Disney are collaborating with everyone this year, Gucci, Coach and now Cartier.

I was bought a silver-colour Disney Tinkerbell necklace for Christmas, many moons ago. My sister was mortified when she found out it wasn't even sterling silver for the money. At Cartier's price-point I'd be expecting the characters to dance round my wrist.

Not my cup of tea but I guess it hits 2 kinds of collectors at once.

This is so cool wow! I may have outgrown charm bracelets after high school but I think I’d make a special exception for these (I love Disney). I saw they were auctioned off at Christie’s - lucky person whomever got them! Thanks for sharing

You are never too old for anything. It took over 50 years to understand this for me. It is your own life and you can and should use it as you really feel best. Some people may say I’m a fool but at least I’m a happy fool
I love this! So true I’m 43 and all I own is Disney coach shoes, bags, charms, shirts and jackets. My mom tells me aren’t you too old for Mickey stuff? I just love it! And if I carry something plain and regular bag it’s boring to me. I enjoy sketching Disney characters too.
