Did I just see 34 of the same on F-phile?

Nope. At one point they had 33 of the rainbow metallic mini reissue! Now I think they are down to a whopping 22 of them.
I wanted a rainbow metallic reissue and saw that they had so many not selling and actually emailed them advising they had 30 of the same bag (without telling them which one) all selling for almost double the retail price and asked them if I could make an offer. They wrote me back saying that they don’t accept offers and they sell higher than retail based on several factors like demand for the style, if it’s sold out/hard to get and if there have been any recent price increases. I was like whatever, clearly no one wants to pay almost double retail and they’re just gonna sit there. I remained patient and scored one for $4150 this past Saturday. I can’t wait til it arrives!

Good!!!! And that’s exactly the price range that would seem reasonable!!!!

I wonder if resellers like Fashionphile buy them from boutiques. If they cost $3800 at boutique and since Fashionohile can sell them for more and have more inventory than boutiques they have created a niche for themselves. Why wouldn't they send a buyer to get all the new bags? Chanel should not sell to resellers it makes it harder for us regular customers. Who else buys the bag then in 1 day sells to fashionphile with the tags on it? They only pay 80% of price. The price they list to buy is not the price they actually will give to you. It is always lower. So if you want to sell you bag you would do better selling it on your own which is harder. Its like using a car dealership to sell back your car. At Fashionphile with the rainbow
you can pick which color you like because they are all different so that is a benefit, but I don't enjoy buying from them because why pay so much for used items? At some point I would always rather buy new. What do you think?

I was wondering the same! Their prices are outrageous recently. How and why are they charging way more than retail when they have more than 20 of the same style in stock? And sometimes for styles like coco handle and WOC, they charge above retail even for used ones. In a sense aren't they vouching for Chanel's constant price increase?

I am curious about FP, they have grown and cornered the market. They have newly released bags in multiples or more. What is their MO.
They also have higher buy-outs on average in my experience (selling varying brands to them) vs. other sites. Their selling process is quick and easy, and they give you an extra 10% bonus on top if you choose the NM gc option for your payout (vs. cash), since they're officially partnered with NM.

I know people complain about their high prices, but you can't really have it both ways (high buyouts AND low prices). They're a for profit business. So I generally sell to them and stalk bags I’m interested in until the price drops. If you're patient enough, you can find decent deals.
